Thanks for the video! Can you tell me more about the fun, chunky fringe at 28 seconds? Is it cotton? I want the thickest, fluffiest fringe I can get (as an edge on a headboard), but unfortunately have to buy online. Any advice for length or fibers?

Unfortunately I can tell you nothing! It was brought by a designer and I didn’t save the item details 😬

I can tell you the really good stuff is high end designer trim. Nearly impossible to find it in online or physical stores these days.

If you want 2 layers of trim couldn’t you sew them double first time round?

Why don't you sew the fringe on the edge of the pillow? I cut my fabric the exact size of the pillow form. Will it be a problem is the pillow cover is too small?
@ASquarePillowIsntSquare6 ай бұрын
Hi there, so, the binding of brush fringe is generally not considered attractive, nor is it designed to show, so you will almost always see it enclosed in the seam. I've attached links to 2 of my videos that might help you with your fabric cut size and shape. Depending on how much fill is in your pillow form, sometimes you can cut the cover even smaller than the insert. Hi! I love your videos! Sooooo helpful. One question though- What kind of fabric glue do you use in the Roman shade video? All the ones i can get locally say not to use with an iron...

Can you remove the fringe?
@ASquarePillowIsntSquare3 ай бұрын
Sure. You have to take apart the pillow cover and then take it off though - you don't want to cut it off.

What if the trim hasn’t got the restraining hem - how do you stop it getting caught in the sewing?
@ASquarePillowIsntSquare8 ай бұрын
It really should have the basting - otherwise it’s really tough to work either!

I was considering using masking tape all along the loose edge to hold it in place while sewing. What do you think? And thanks for your reply.
@ASquarePillowIsntSquare8 ай бұрын
@@rosemarymortonjack9387 I think tape is a good idea but maybe consider painters tape? Might be a gentler option - not quite as sticky but should still hold it enough to work with.

It’s called Masking tape in uk! Thanks. Good tutorial.
