Thanks so much. But how do I then fill a shape like the Christmas tree with the brush stroke design?

Hi Sarah! There are a few different ways to do that. One of the easiest would be to use a Canva frame of a Christmas tree. You'd download the brush stroke design as a PNG and then upload that PNG back into Canva and use it to fill the Christmas Tree frame.

Thank you Crystal. I tried doing this very same thing a couple of weeks ago wanting to recreate ones I have seen in Etsy. But I kept getting a Canva warning that there were too many elements.Any ideas? Update: I am referencing the latter part of your video with multiple brush strokes. Also I think I may have used frames to do it.

Hi! Creating these in Canva will throw that error since you are having to place each individual brush stroke frame. This is why I created the template in Inkscape and combined different sets of brush strokes together to just be 1 "frame/element". The final design just has 5 "elements/frames" rather than 50+ I actually used to create the design. I LOVE the ease of Canva but with ease comes limitations.

Hey Crystal, I’m trying to do the Highland cow just like you. I’m following along the video click for click but when I go to set clip, everything turns white any ideas ? help!

So it depends on a couple things. First, are you putting the cow into 1 brush stroke or 2? If you're putting the cow into 1 brush stroke, make sure that the cow is BEHIND the brush stroke and that it's large enough to fill the stroke completely, then do the set clip. If you're putting the cow into 2 brush strokes, make sure the brush strokes are "grouped" together and then place the cow behind them and set clip. Also, make sure the brush strokes you're using are SVG files.
