I finally took the plunge and ordered some 10mm models. I am already in love. The plan is to base them 2 models on a round base and play Lion Rampant. So I iwll have twice the amount of men on the table, but the same amount of bases. Keep up the wonderful work!

Thats actually a great idea to scale up the numbers in the game without adding rules-wise. Hope your project goes well. Glad your happy with the scale, I'm convinced its the best balance between still looking good and not taking too long to paint for larger scale engagements.

Banners and Sashimono make a Sengoku army pop. Have you also considered having ‘command’ bases with multiple flags? You might also like to consider having fixed banner men on unit sands that just have Japanese text on white / black flags as this would make your army pop. These would complement your ‘faction’ specific magnetised figures.

I have indeed, the initial plan was to keep the units relatively generic and then go a bit more on the command bases. Although I dont think I'm going to stick with the magnetised banners and instead just focus in on a smaller part of the sengoku period and paint units more as specific vassals. Hadn't considered the extra black/white banners though I'll have a look into it as that is a really interesting idea.
