The DumboRC BL3F outputs whatever voltage you feed it to the lights with 10ohm resistors, the MN78 stock board powers the lights at 3.3V, if you run the receiver at 5V or direct 7.4V, it may be a bit high on the current

Thanks for mentioning I forgot I had this whole plan to talk about the bec reciever voltages. I bet they are okay at 5v, but 7.4 and up maybe too hot right. Good stuff 👏

@@ChiefRickyRC If all the LEDs are wired in parallel, even at 5V it's too much, ideally you'll want to rewire them 2 in series/2 parallel and you can safely power them direct at 6V or 2S, with 3s you could wire all 4 LEDs in series, parallel LEDs with a single resistor is never a good idea and will result in uneven current and LEDs burning out because they have slight variation in forward voltage.

I'm now running 2000kv with a adapter with an offset and a 12t pinion, now getting same as stock speed on 2S, if you want more speed (20% increase) you can probably mod the gearbox a bit because of the shorter shaft of your inrunner motor you can't use an adapter, the difference between 10t and 12t is 0.6mm only iirc, but I was only able to source brass pinions, it is much quieter and smoother now, the 10t steel pinion I had was too big, claims 0.6m but was 7.35mm OD instead of 7.2mm 48p is not the same as 0.6m, they are not interchangeable, it may work but run noisy, OD of 10t 48p is 7.4mm Edit: youtube keeps deleting my comments grrr

I was just seeing how i could make a 12t fit last night by slotting one motor mount hole. I'm so glad they used mod .6 gears in these. Think a 28xx size can motor would fit? I will try this new 10t they have looks black like a forged one. If that fails which Im sure i can make it, Im right after you bro

A 2s Lithium Polymer battery will do the trick for you. I have a video showing it run a 2s lipo stock. A 1600mah- 1800mah 2s Lipo is largest that fits. For reference a Bezgar HM101 or HBX 2995 stock 1800mah 2s lipo is what I used. You will need to change the MN78 stock battery plugin to a male side Tplug. Very easy and good upgrade

@mad_sloth1273 these have a 370 motor stock and can support the faster 370 that's available just motor, motor and pinion, or installed in a metal gearbox with all steel gears. I did see someone did a video of the faster MN 370 motor running off the stock ESC and it did improve performance. You bet any questions I'm here to help. Thank you for the interest

@mad_sloth1273 I actually have the faster 370 motor never used, because I swapped in a brushless motor into the metal gearbox it came in. It needs a motor pinion, because I swapped it on the brushless motor too, but if interested I could send you the motor and you'd just need a MN78 motor pinion. They sell the pinion separately on AliExpress. You can get the whole metal gearbox and motor installed for under $15 so it's probably better just get that. It's a great gearbox runs smooth quiet

Actually the Forged steel gears broke normal steel motor pinion, but a forged pinion is on the way. Thanks bro 🙏 Im about to flood the channel hold on tight haha

@@ChiefRickyRC Well, usually metal gets softer when heated, I was thinking maybe pinion was wobling ever-so-slightly and causing a binding? But didn't you say the pinion should be longer for better contact with the other gear? Maybe a longer hardened pinion could be found?
