Grew up near Lake Erlang and spent most winter weekends fishing in the creek channel for crappie. Remember one day watching mother who loved crappie fishing more than anything fling out a minnow and it skidded about 20 feet across the ice. It never was too cold for her to fish ! They started stocking catfish and became good place for catfish also.

Awesome video Russ. Good job from both you guys. Live scope has changed the fishing world in so many ways, especially for tournament guys. I would like to own one, one of these days. God bless and thanks again. Feel the thump my friend.

Hey Russ, got a request. How about doing a show on the ole time crappie fishing. You know cane pole jigging and the old the way that used to watch people crappie fish. When I was a young boy, I fished with a long hickory sapling and a little package from the old country store I bought fir 50-75 cents. Had a little bobber and one hook and about 12’ line on it. Then I also used midland sack twine that came off when you opened the midland sacks to feed the hogs. Then use a safety pin to make a hook. Caught chubs in the creek and I would clean them and Memaw would fry them up. They where totally full of little fine bones. But a biggin you could get some meat of it. Just saying, like to see some old fashion crappie fishing fir the younger folks to see before fish finders and live scope. Thanks fir all the good videos.

Get off my lake! It's crowded enough without being advertised. Facebook youtube is ruining good fishin spots.
