Hello Kate! Thank-you so much for this video! Wow, I never knew how Brussel sprouts were harvested before this! The harvester was very neat! You do a great job of interviewing! I hope someday I will be able to interview people as well as you do! It's so nice to see other family farms and it's awesome that you're able to tour some of them! Great video Kate and I'm looking forward to more!

@@KatesAg Love your educational input, when I was a 6 year old child I was paid out by city kids in Amsterdam for being the dumbest most stupid kid they'd ever met... Because I though cow's milk made cream, cheese, yoghurt, chickens laid eggs & fisherman caught fish... It was the most ludicrous thing these kid's had ever heard, because they all knew all these products came from the supermarket..! 🍺❤🤙 👉😷💉 🌳🍏🐍

There is something in the way you present your videos that is very endearing. You can make a mundane subject interesting. Brussels Sprout is something you just eat as part of a dish or as a garnish but watching you interact with the farmers and managers of the farm gives me a more mature look at what goes on in the farm. You captured their pride and enthusiasm in the work they do and that is priceless.

Hi Kate, this was very interesting, this was all new to me, a person doesn’t take the time to realize all the different food sources we have, how they’re grown, harvested, soils, climates needed for ea. The majority of the consumers think everything is done by big machinery and don’t realize a lot is still done by physical labor. I remember the days working on uncles farms walking beans and pulling weeds, gathering big rocks, stacking hay bales by hand, detassling, hard cow pie fights🤣. Kids today wouldn’t be caught dead doing that type of work. Your doing great with your clips Kate, heck I’m 60 yrs old and just now learned how Brussels sprouts are harvested. Keep em coming 👍💪🇺🇸

G,day Kate from Sydney Australia. Brussel sprouts are certainly a cold climate vegetable. I was growing in sub-tropical climate, therefore; The sprouts would flower straight away. Check out the massive amount of leafy organic matter returned to the soil: vegitables need massive nutrition and water. That is labor intensive: seedlings, then planting. Interesting film, I loved it thankyou. 🤨💦🌱
