Don’t forget to stack all your sawmill waste on stickers so that you can scoop it up easily with the tractor. 😊 Worth the time.

Nice job on the skirting under the extension. May I suggest some air vents in this to allow air to circulate. Will avoid damp and mould under the floor

I think i mentioned it before but I would also suggest to add plastic sheet/foil on that soil under your house..even as you mentioned you have no water there but for sure you have moisture and this will reduce moisture and that will improve your boards below your house also it will reduce amount of fungus and all that as there will be dry area instead of moist.

Both are important. Plastic as a vapour barrier and venting for air movement. They will prevent a lot of problems down the road.

ABSOLUTELY THE soil must be covered with plastic and some gravel along the edges to prevent mold, mildew etc!

I agree, cedar is rot resistant and has been used for many, many years in construction because of that. I also believe you are VERY fortunate to have it available to you. It is a very versatile wood.

With your new saw you would have way more cutting power by purchasing a 6.0high output battery. I’m a carpenter and we have found that anytime we’re using the bigger power using millwaukee tools those batteries last a lot longer and have more power to cut thru the wood.

It makes me smile and warms my ❤️ every time one of your beautiful dogs, cats, goats or birds goes up to Katie she always takes a moment from what she's doing to pet them. As much as we show love to them, they will love us back at least as much. Many of the other off-grider videos I watch who have dogs, rarely pay much attention to them. And it shows in the dog's eyes and whole demeanor. I stopped watching some of them just because of that.

Just a suddestion, but if you want to use your tractor forks as a work bench with occasional cutting, cover the forks with a sacrificial 2 x 4 and with your saw blade set correctly while you will occasionally leave a cut mark in the fork 2x4 you will not have to stop the cut twice on each cur and you will not ruin a blade
