WOW! Did my ears hear correctly? At 00:02:56 he actually ran out of gears, bumping the rev limiter for a good 3 ~ 4 seconds before the next corner. Wringing it out to the limit, aye? 👍💪 Not the prettiest machine, more than makes up for it in sheer visceral performance. Kudos to AWD, aye?

All racing drives do that, it is more convenient, faster to respond and as a result more comfortable to drive fast. I do that in everyday drives as a habit, It just needs a bit of practice to be smooth , nothing difficult here

The difference is how people build engines here vs USA. Usa people would use a big gt42 ; here its probably no bigger than a 3582. We dont lower compression also Theres antilag strategy

A few people in the comments below expressed, with a fair degree of certainty, strong suspicions that this car was equipped with and was utilizing an anti-lag system on this climb. Is *that* why the driver was utilizing left foot braking *so* frequently? Do anti-lag systems require you to be on the brakes? I always thought one of the assumed advantages of anti-lag systems was that you *didn’t* have to press the brake pedal in order to order up some turbo spool. Help me out here, folks…. Thanks!

It does use quite the aggressive Anti-Lag system but the left foot braking has nothing to with it directly. If a racing driver has no need to brake with the right foot (like on this car where clutch is not needed), it is more efficient to brake with the left. It takes skill and experience and Liridon certainly shows he has both here ;)
