Think you should have used the YOP to build a city. Need to match red's production if you want to take army, and if you city 8 4 10 you end up making the 8 brick a free card

You are 100% correct. I got so focused on keeping army I forgot to boost my production.

There was never a good moment for that, the pops needed to keep coming to defend army.

Why not 10311 for ur second pick forcing oj to go either 3,6 or 6115 and the u get to road settle on the one he doesn’t take

i think it's a fair second guess. might be a bit of a slower developing game but i would have loved to be on that extra ore in hindsight
