@@DrewCreal I also noticed you've got a pretty badass USA Custom RG. Looks like it has an OFR though? Would be interested to learn more about that guitar!

Dude, I had no idea you were playing the Holdsworth guitar for the leads on the death metal tune when I was mixing it! It sounds awesome!

That guitar instantly has become my favorite to shred on 🤘🤘🤘

sounds great man, hard agree on scoop mids for classic death metal tones although i usually mix fat/thin when laying two guitar parts as well :) sick shreds as always too! Mesa always cram a heap a stuff in all their gear, and on a tangent always have the best written manuals ive come across :)

what speakers are in the cab? sounds great! also I'd love some tabs for that solo on the death metal track. also my rig is a Marshall JCM2000 DSL100 boosted by a Boss SD-1W going to a Mesa 2x12 with Celestion Creamback G12M-65 speakers.

Sounds like you've got a sick rig there. The JCM200 DSL 100 was my first REAL amp, it's a classic. The cab has a V30 and a Creamback in it. Sounds great, though I'd love to get a Mesa cab soon!

I own all the 80’s Mesa Boogie Stripes some with C++ mod as well. Also have the Mark IV A and B. To me, the JP2C was the last great amp they released. The VII I was ready to send back the first riff I played. But I ended up keeping it, but it just doesn’t replicate the originals at all. Great review of this amp!

Your amp collection sounds incredible Donnie, man I would love to own a Mark IV again, such a great amp. Thanks for watching man!

@@DrewCreal thanks brother! The market seems low lately, check reverb from time to time! Everyone was scooping up Mark III’s while I fell in love with the IV so I got lucky :) rock on man!

Great playing, but definitely needs a lot more treble/cut on the rhythms/riffing. It sounds very smooth/dark. Needs more aggression and presence. You're also going to be way better off using a reactive load box than the simple cab simulation on this amp.
