gameplay wise, mediocer, but the atmosphere and story? holy shit i love that game. it's right in legacy of kain territory, which also has mediocer gameplay but story, narrative and atmosphere is a solid 10/10. Brutal legend has just enough humour to make it playable when you don't have time to immerse yourself too much into the story, and still have fun. i've played it through several times an 100%ed it on highest difficulty. great game, i wish the creator finds someone to pay for production of a sequel. i'd donate to a crowdfunding campaign for a sequel for sure.

Jack Black being isekaid, the head banger miners, making cars out of random scraps, the mini rhythm game with the electric guitar, the ability to command your troops, building a stage for war and having couriers carry the "screaming walls" it's all just such a ridiculous concept and yet it captivates me. I really love the misunderstanding that led to the plot twist of Succoria's identity and what his dad actually did with Succoria where I assume they led happy lives in the future, it's such a classic hero meets demon lord and falls in love with them story, though seriously what was up with that ominous ending?

Not always is like that. Look at GTA 4-5 and RDR. It was popular. Exclusivity doesn't always mean bad selling. It's poor marketing.
@TheArklyte6 жыл бұрын
xXSilentAgent47Xx And what we see? RDR is less known then the main series and is known at all only because it's "GTA in Wild West". It carried itself on the back of already established cult followed main series. You don't start a new unique series out of nowhere as an exclusive and then expect it to carry itself to victory. How many people played Demon Souls, eh? And what happened once Dark Souls came out for everyone? Both had rather weak advertisement back then. On the other side of the specter is games like HZD, who're already being part of established genre with the same gameplay as all games in it before it, huge and agressive marketing campaign and unlimited money of the publisher interested in forcing a new franchis to be born no matter what. I remember Black's commercials and that Metalocalypse cross promotion, but largely the game was ignored. It has fan following, but the series is dead. Wider audience was what this game needed to turn the faces of management and remind them that people love it.

I wasn't expecting real time strategy. If it was straight up action, I would have enjoyed it more.

I had 7 years old when i saw this game for the first time never got the chance of playing it and searched for its name for a long time. Then i ended up one day giving up and now here i am. Technically rediscovering it

The world and everything else about this game was amazing the only problem I have with it is that it lacked focus in terms of what the gameplay was supposed to be it seemed a little to much all over the place

This was the last bump in Metal in the main stream culture. Metalocalypse came out and this. Ozzy also had that show with his family. Now rock is dead and Metal is an underground thing again
