The irons have been criminally underrated for a while now, at least since the v6s came out. The Staff model CB/MB are as good as any players club out there and the D9 series is a great mid cap option.

​@@jacobmccain8082 v2s were a tour winner (major even?) too. I still have those, though I heard that v6s were a significant upgrade. V4s were quite meh for what I've heard. Harrington won with v2s and he skipped v4 actually because he liked v2 so much. I'm now shifting away from Wilson actually, but it took a long time for me.

I’m in Australia and recently got fitted for a new full set of Wilson Dnyapowers, with Staff wedges. I tested just on Stats and money was not an issue. The Ping G430 LST in the Driver was virtually identical performance. In the irons the G430 was slightly below the Dynapowers. I couldn’t justify buying the Ping’s, which I thought I was going to buy. I tested all the major brands and theses performed best for my swing dynamics. The value for money is outstanding as well as the feel.

Im a professional club fitter. I have virtually every brand at my disposal to put in my bag. This year, I’m playing Wilson through the bag. WOW! They’ve really come a long way. Their forged irons have always been great but this driver is special. It has really elevated the brand. Absolute low spin bomber.

I got the 8* driver and love it! I love the sound of an old Persimmons wooden head driver. This, although not the same, is the next best sounding driver I’ve found. I also play the Wilson FG 100 blades.

I have the Wilson Cortex Driver which came out 3-4 years ago, and I think it is the better club, in that it is like the Taylormade M1 with an adjustable hosel (loft) and weights, and a moveable weight bar. The top is also carbon fiber. Stunningly beautiful too! Can still find them for around $200 USD or less.

If anyone has a chance to check out your local golf store. Do yourself a fabor and hit the dynapower irons in the simulator. I brought my own 7 iron to compare because i couldnt believe the numbers. I thought they were juicing up the distances... i gained 18 - 25 yards due to the strong loft. Plus the are forgiving as hell...

I have only been golfing for 4 years now, and I have a long way to go to get "good", but this driver [I have the Titanium 10.5 version with a regular Helium staff] has taken 6 strokes off my game. The Wilson fitter let me use his clubs at the fitting, and he adjusted the head to +1 ......... That made my drives much straighter. I ordered an exact duplicate of his club and it not only gives me consitantly 30 yards further than my old club but also goes straight [ie doesn't hook right].

I tested this club against my Epic Big Bertha, the TSR2 Titleist and Paradym a couple weeks ago. I now own a Wilson Dynapower 10.5 with a Hazrdus regular flex 55 gram shaft. It had a lower spin rate and just as much carry (2400 vs. 3500 on my Epic) as any of them . I am 63, 18 hdcp with a 92-93 mph swing speed. I gained 4-5 mph on my ball speed and about 15 yards of carry distance, for $100 less than the other two I tested. I played the best round I have in years last Friday (80) and hit 8 of 14 fairways with 3 drives over 260. Needless to say, I love my new driver!

I have the 10.5 TI version of the dynapower with the stock hzrdus rdx smoke(red) it was good but need something a bit heaver and not so spiney so i put in the hzrdus smoke black and my distance went up and spin came down to about 2200 rpm

I wanted one so bad about six weeks ago til I seen Peter Finch test it. He actually in just a few swings concave the face of the driver, that throw me for a loop, never seen that done before. I ended up getting the PING G425.

Great review James and love the stats from your testing. I might have said in previous comments that i was recommended and fitted for Wilson CB Staff Irons which i cannot fault and love, a very forgiving iron. I tried the dynapower Titanium at a demo day and i was like 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔, seeing your review, im like is time to upgrade from my old Titleist 913D? P.s, have you seen long time Wilson ambassador Padraig Harrington hit the dynapower lately. Boom!

I didn't have much time at the Wilson stand to hit as much shots, I recently hit my friends Dynapower Carbon 9.5 at the range and it was sweet. Off the centre hits and I was at least 20 - 30 yards longer than my old Titleist driver. Definitely give it a try.

I hit the carbon, had good results but had to get fit into the 8deg with an XS staff to get the consistency I get with my Rogue ST Max LS, but if I was truly looking for a new driver, I would do another fitting with the Wilson DynaPower.

Are they well built though I have heard of a few of them in the carbon version breaking the faces concaving and the face splitting away from the crown. The 3 I've seen all 3 of them can smash a golf ball.

I was looking to see if the tech in my Callaway Rogue was outdated. Reading the Hot List, I thought maybe. So I hit a local store and took my old driver into the simulator. Got some numbers. Hit Titleist (I play their irons), Callaway, TaylorMade, etc, etc. Nothing was much different. A little less spin here, a little more distance there but all in all.. not worth the cash. The tech handed me a Driver and said don’t look at the manufacturer. Just hit it. Wow. 18 yards more distance. Better launch, speed, dispersion… well, everything. I bought it. It’s been in the bag for a couple of rounds and couldn’t be happier. The numbers in the sim are reflected on the course. Nearly drove a 287 yard hole…. And I’m +50. Who cares about brand names? This works

I bought the Paradym, TSR, and Stealth. I play the Wilson Carbon. It is the best driver made. IMO. I’m a 3 HDCP. I play a lot. My recommendation is genuine.

Drivers break. Check these comments and you’ll see it happens. Plus, Finch hit it further than any other driver he tested this year - absolutely pounding it with 180mph+ ball speeds. Maybe you hit it that well too? But if not, nothing to worry about

No chance I have ever seen or heard a driver bend in the face doesn’t matter what the speed is, I play with plenty off fellers who hit the same as finch or better. Drivers break rarely and that on the Wilson is something know one with common sense would invest in.
