As a 55y/o woman - listen to Leila!! I wasted just over a decade on a sociopath who was difficult to get rid of and almost killed me (stress of emotional abuse). My last words to him "i don't wish you ill, i don't wish you well, i just wish to never speak to you or think of you ever again". I was perfectly happy alone, and made my list of what i wanted in a partner. I found him a few years later and am now building a new business with a kick ass younger friend.

As a 32 year old this is incredible info for the 20’s and beyond 👏🏾👏🏾. I wanted to share one thing tho, true intuitive gut “feelings” come from your spirit/true self and she does not want you to stay in your comfort zone. She wants you to grow so you can fulfill your purpose in life. Those “gut feelings” you’re speaking of are fear based and fear comes from the mind not spirit/intuition. That’s how you can tell the difference. Just wanted to share that in case it helps someone 💕.

Leila's talking about becoming independent so you can: 1) be independent, and also so you can 2) be INTERDEPENDENT, not being dependent, not codependent, not even just independent (although that's a goal everyone needs to reach and a million times better than dependent and codependent). Stephen Covey talks about this in his book 7 Habits For Highly Effective People. Which is a classic in the genre of self development and everyone should read it - it's 100% in alignment with everything Leila & Alex talk about.

I love your wisdom. I lived that in my 20's but it came from trauma that my mother experienced. Teaching me not to trust people. So I became independent for the wrong reasons. Who you decided to be in your 20's, I didn't learn until my 40's. OMG, you are doing such a huge service to the young women that are watching you. I pray that people take your advice and change the future. Save themselves decades.

loved this so much!! I'm a 28year old woman and started a company from the ground on at age 26. No one close to me who could give me advice on how to start and if it was the right move. All they said was it's a bad time to start. I heard this from people who worked a 9 to 5 job and how settled down purely out of convenience. I didn't wanted convenience so I started anyway. It's f*cking hard work but I love every step of it because I trusted myself and not the people around me. It's always a 'bad time' to start, but if you know your own worth you will definitely figure things out.

I agree with a lot but your intuition will never lead you the wrong way.. it’s not society.. it’s spirituality. You’re a spirit living in a human form.. & could be hard for many to separate the mind (which is thinking survival / fear) and the spirit / you’re intuition / the gut feeling is what’s helping you. Always always listen to it

Great advice! I just want to add that if you can't change your circumstance, you can change your perspective on them. You have the power to accept where you're at NOW and to make life better NOW. True growth happens when you change the way you look at the same things. ALSO, no shame in staying in a relationship that has experienced infidelity. There are many relationships that go through this and come out the other side stronger than ever. It does not mean you have no self-respect, it means you are able to work through issues and realize that no one is perfect but it doesn't have to be the end all in a relationship.

This was awesome. Im not in my 20s anymore but I never learned to set appropriate boundaries within my relationships and it’s has tragically impacted me. I have walked away calmly from those I’ve allowed to stunt my overall growth and I have exploded in more personal relationships; however I release the angst and anger with myself over the unnecessary wreckage of productive business trajectories for others and myself over my lack of assertiveness and ability to convey in a succinct and serious manner boundaries violation and really just defining my boundaries by saying no I’m not able to do that because it undermines the respect I have for myself and our valued work partnership without anymore explaining 🎉❤😂 thank you very much Leila Hormozi; you are a psychologist 😂❤

Lord Jesus ❤ this is SO good. I think God led me to the video. Realizing I been using my “gut feeling” or “intuition“ a bit too much. Emotions are so annoying for us women. 🎉Although it was slightly later for me, I strongly agree the fact women should create their own directions. This can be a shared motivation for the other person to witness it (even if you're on the same business careers or you're in a different occupation) . Instead of what ifs, do it. Calculated risks are necessary and planning ahead of time would be best benchmark to start. And I didn't regret at all for making the moves to do what I want to do in life. I am glad you're telling the younger ones about this😊

I agree on not letting your emotions dictate your life but intuition is NOT dysfunctional patterns, beliefs or emotions. Everytime i haven't listened to my intuition, I have regretted it big time. I now trust this extra information and my life is better then it was previously. Still always growing, learning and pushing for the next level. If you are an intuitive person and have extra insight please do not think this is the same as a mood swing or disregard it.

I get what she says, but NOT following your gut is not a good idea...also, she actually followed her gut or intuition that says "I want to live there!" That IS a gut feeling or intuition in my opinion. How else would you make decisions? I do think that when you have listened to your gut or intuition for WHAT to do or which direction to go in, then it can be a good idea to stick to the plan if you want to see things through, even if you don't feel like it. But I would also say that if the entire way to our goal feels like struggle, when what's the fucking point? That sounds like a life for a robot. Optimally both the destination and the journey should FEEL really good to you. But I agree, don't give in to fear if you really want something. Go for it.
@DonnettaJenkins
@DonnettaJenkins 13 күн бұрын
I understand where you are coming from. I think following your gut makes sense when it ADVANCES your life in a direction you desire to go in. She is speaking to women whose gut instincts are not advancing them in the direction of life they desire to achieve. The way you were raised and the amount of self reflecting you have done in adulthood will determine how accurate of a reading you get with "trusting your gut." Our behavior mirrors familiar patterns already hard wired. ❤

Your gut and intuition are different than your fleeting thoughts and feelings. If you're in tune with your intuition it will align with your calling even when that isn't comfortable. We don't need to be disconnected from our gut and our intuition in order to succeed. Both can exist.
