Excellent video! More demo videos should be like this one. You showed the units musicality. So many demos are not made for players but rather toy collectors who want to make funny noises. You showed how this device fits into a musical situation. Thank you!

What an excellent video demoing this product! The best i've seen on here! Eventide should pay you for this! This is the sort of video guitarists want to see when looking for a pedal. It demonstrates the features beautifully, showing how the effects sound within the context of an actual tune! (Not people shredding numerous notes to show how good a guitarist they are!). Great video, 'Brutal Gain'. Really professional, and very informative!!

@@BrutalGain I bought one because of your demo. I really needed a standard harmonizer for leads and harmonies over chorus' for fast picking because playing octives that fast would be super sloppy. Also required it to be midi controlled due to my rig. Besides, tweaking all the knobs on say a tc electronic brainwaves pedal live could be a real disaster. All the other features are just an added bonus. Also I cloned my earthquaker devices organizer I used for a song and the eventide is much cleaner tones and way quieter operation.
@BrutalGain5 жыл бұрын
@@nuclearguitarfare4653 I think Pitchfactor is a very versatile pedal. Except for some kinds of modulation, reverbs and wah, many other common effects can be obtained with this unit. I am glad you were able to get the results you expected from it based on my demo.
@danielmiddleman86136 жыл бұрын
Much better than the Sweetwater demo. Have a question about diatonic pitch-shifting. I used to have an old Digitech harmonizer rack unit and you had to basically tune the unit to your guitar. The problem was that if you tuned a full half step down the unit wasn't able to go that far down. I was just wondering how it works with the PitchFactor. If you tune a half-step down, how does the pedal deal with that?
@BrutalGain6 жыл бұрын
Daniel Middleman In my opinion that is one of the weak parts. Transposing sounds weird, and the attack of the notes is not very well preserved. The best option in that case is having a dedicated pedal like Digitech Drop, so you still have you Pitchfactor for harmonising or special effects.
@nigel9005 жыл бұрын
Impressive.

@Tanner-James7 жыл бұрын
What are your diatonic settings at in this video? Mine sounds way more digitized and synthetic
@MickyVegaMusic7 жыл бұрын
Tanner Kline I can't remember the exact settings, but a good advice is to use very little wet signal. Sometimes with 15% or something like that is enough. And use a slight delay when using harmonies can add a more natural feel. Finally, a bit of reverb can do the rest.
@arseface77929 жыл бұрын
how do you use the crystals effect with a distorted sound without making a messy noise?? when I try it, the delay and reverb sound so loud
@BrutalGain9 жыл бұрын
The secret is using pitchfactor AFTER distortion pedal. If you are using your amp's distortion, then you should plug your pitchfactor in amp effects loop. That way, you' ll get a nice, pleasant sound. Hope it helped!
@BrutalGain9 жыл бұрын
+Brutal Gain I must say that doing this will make other algorithms sound a bit worse, but fortunately, Eventide has released a new update which can solve the problem, by letting you choose where in your effects chain pitchfactor is working. You can visit Eventide's website for more info.

Gabriel Canales You can use different external switches but Eventide recommends this one, the Digitech.

I have a question, and after hours of searching the internet, I dare ask you since you seem to be my best chance at an answer. Ok, so, here goes: can you, with this pedal switch from one saved preset, to another, to bypass, with only the push of one button each time ? Basically I have a song, in which I use a diatonic harmoniser. I start with the dry riff, then +3, then -3, then +3 again, then dry again. Could I do that with this pedal (even if I have to add an expression pedal, I don't really mind) ? I'm not sure whether I explained it successfully.
@MickyVegaMusic7 жыл бұрын
So, I believe you are trying to do this: Preset -(push one button)->Another preset -(push button)->Bypass If this is what you meant, yes, you can do that.
@LFiles487 жыл бұрын
I mean, can you assign a specific preset to a switch. If not, I can work with bank up /down but it wouldn't be ideal. And if the pedal is in Bypass mode, do I need to push bypass again before I switch preset, or does pressing the preset button automatically makes it come back on. In any case thank you for your answer !
@MickyVegaMusic7 жыл бұрын
Yes, you can do both. You customize your presets as you desire, so you don't need to scroll to certain preset. And yes, you can go to any preset despite being in bypass mode. You don't need to activate it before doing that.
@LFiles487 жыл бұрын
Alright, I guess I'm getting one then. Thank you for your answers !

hi great demo. Does the digitech foot controller plug straight into the pitchfactor or do you need to program it?

The digitech footswitch is automatically recognised by Eventide Pitchfactor, which has 3 default functions for it. But you can edit that with a very easy to use "learn" function that Pitchfactor includes.

JCBigCat is right Eventide should pay you for this and sack all their shit representatives.
