Good performers & ok vocalists. Its a reach to say amazing since they're just starting. Let's see if they can keep the same quality they have especially the vocals because only Belle can actually sing, Haneul needs to prove that she's as worthy as belle when it comes to vocals & julie is good with her flow but I don't really find myself liking hdow she raps, i do prefer one of young posse's main rapper (the short haired one) & as for natty, her voice is too stylistic for me, I want a vocalist like belle who can offer a wide variety of vocal skills that doesn't sound like whispering, stuttering or nasal just to convey an emotion.

Same thought with you. 4th Gen was a shift in Kpop in my opinion and I have been listening to Kpop since 2nd Gen and some of 1st Gen. 4th Gen was the time when companies really push their Idols to the max of their ability whereas 5th Gen is more about what's trendy. 2nd and 3rd Gen were still very Kpop and BTS and BP were a myth of some sort. 4th Gen became a mix of Kpop and Western influence and companies were on top of their game. Thats why 4th Gen are now still leading the race eventhough 5th Gen Groups are coming up. Gidle have already dominated charts again. IVE and New Jeans will make a comeback and they will dominate too. But here I am, so so so glad that my boys won't have to feel the need to be embarassed about their appearance to the point of feeling they MUST replace a part of them to better ones like robots do (the irony!), would be able to date and marry and travel anywhere without having to worry getting their pics captured by strangers or getting jumped by rabid fans; their haters couldn't say anything about them other than saying they are AI (how sad is it that it's 2024 and people still don't know the difference between AI, VR and AR when you can literally search it up in less than a few seconds coz internet), because my boys have personalities, can dance, can rap, can sing live at the drop of a hat(all of them!), can write songs and compose music, choreograph their own dances, actually gives justice to any cover of other artists' songs they are covering, etc.. The fact is they're so damned talented, that's why nobody could confidently say they suck, they have no choice but to focus on their concept as virtual idols. And all their songs are either so so good and catchy, or beautiful and meaningful (and yeah, they ALL are involved with the makings of each song whether in writing lyrics, composing the melody or choreographing the dances, so there's not even any issues with distribution of each member's lines in a song because we KNOW everybody had a hand in everything, no doubt. Even with this, you'll notice that hardly there's an unfair distribution even, most songs have differences of a few seconds (maybe one minute extra at most, and logically it's not even unfair, because they're usually given to the main vocal and vocal members of the group 😊). It's like they exist to tell the K-Pop industry, this is how you treat your artists right (to agencies), this is how you treat your idols right (to fans), by focusing on their person and personalities and their talents and by accepting that they're humans with feelings too. How ironic is it that a group needs to be virtual to have that boundaries and get rid of the things that shouldn't actually be forced onto idols who appears as flesh and blood humans? To be frank the demography of PLLIs are mostly those who avoided K-Pop industry after being disappointed with how rotten everything is, who witnessed talents after talents got swept away or killed off because they aren't pretty enough or skinny enough, or because they were cyber bullied, or because they witnessed their beloved artists enslaved by their agencies or had had the rude awakening that most idols after 2nd/a small portion of 3rd Gen can't really sing etc. etc. Most PLLIs are those who stanned 2nd Gen or 3rd Gen idols, like older noonas with a more mature mindset and just those who like to vibe with idols who are comedians when they aren't singing/dancing/rapping lmao. The conclusion? Well, people can say anything about PLAVE. We'll all just go on to listen to their Virtual Idol and dance along anyway. @@sicatsz I'm not plastic surgery-shaming at all. The thing is the idea of doing plastic surgery for beauty purposes won't even enter any person's mind if they have enough confidence in themselves. If an idol decided to do plastic surgery because they just wanted to, that's fine, it's their body. But people need to stop looking away at the root cause of wanting to change the face you're born with. Usually people go into surgery because they're ill. It's not fun having yourself cut with a knife on the operating table, seeing yourself swollen for months, having to carefully look at everything you're eating and taking a chokeful of meds before getting the results you wanted. Nowadays, especially in Korea, their plastic surgery surgeons are very skilled so you can argue that it's much safer compared to before. But that's not reason enough to say they're completely safe without risks. Everything that involves an object usable as a murder weapon has its risk; anything could go wrong then. For anyone to willingly go under the knife because their society pressures them into doing so, and for the practice to be normalized enough due to the sheer number of people no matter their age doing it, you've got to say something isn't right there. The strange thing is even with so many people doing it, Koreans get triggered when their country is mentioned in the same breath as plastic surgery. Because the idea of a plastic surgery first came up into the world as a solution to help those who got terribly injured due to burns and accidents, and also for brave soldiers who were left deformed while protecting their country, just like how prosthetic limbs are invented and improved every year to help those who was born without/had lost their limbs. These idols aren't injured in any way physically, they're perfect as themselves. What's injured is their self-esteem. That's why many people still associate plastic surgery with "that person got something wrong about them" idea. In a way, there IS something wrong with those idols, but not physically. If you keep getting told you're below the beauty standard set by your society since your trainee years (means you're still kids then), of course you'll believe there's something wrong with how you looked like, and that you're "not enough". If you chose a job that demands you to sing and dance well, your skills and talents should be the only things that matters. Appearances should come much later in the list, because personality and emotional strength should've been more important for anybody who chose to become a public figure. There would be less su*cides among Korean celebrities if they have mental fortitude, because glam comes with a price and their netizens are known for being truly vicious. My boys thankfully can have both fame and a normal life outside of their idol activities. Their virtual concept is a shield for them. Because their exteriors are shielded from public knowledge, their personalities and talents are able to shine brilliantly through. Idols are people with feelings, they are not objects that can be customized as fans like, like a character in a game. If you love your idols, accept their flaws too. Their flaws are what make them human. P.S.: Of all the points I made, you chose to focus on the plastic surgery part. What does that make you? KQ doesn't control the camera crew at Coachella...that's the venue's job. Ateez has a very seasoned and professional stage crew who do excellent work. If you want to see their work check out the dvds of their world tour concerts where they are in complete control of all aspects of the stage performance. Coachella probably chose Ateez to be their first kpop bg after viewing these dvds.

When you talk about how lacking in creative direction who are you comparing them too? What type of budget do they have? As for the storyline, there is a BtoB: Kiss the Radio episode with Jongho, Wooyoung and Yeosang (January 6, 2023) where they explain the strategy behind how the storyline is used. Since you say you are a stan of Ateez I suggest you checkout the whole show as it contains good information that every Atiny should know; an Atiny (1024withme) provides subtitles for the episode. Please re-watch the kingdom episode before going off about Hongjoong not getting credit. Captain didn't even know the name of nor could he find the Dvorak music he was thinking of. He described it then Eden and Leez found it and put it together to all of their satisfaction. So Hongjoong had the "idea" but he did not "do the work"; his seniors did so they get the credit. It's like me describing the perfect dress to a designer and when they pull it together to my liking I take credit for the work. I may have inspired them to do it but I did not do it. Kingdom showcased that Hongjoong is very creative and intuitive and the only thing holding him back was inexperience. You got the sense that he would be great creative force in the industry and it is proving to be true.
