I both agree and disagree on #2 cuz' it's an easy fix in my opinion. 1. IF you have a group of 5 members, atleast make the song more than 3minutes, some songs this days barely even get to 3 2. Let the members atleast harmonize in some lines so they share the distribution plus they get vocals not yet heard by fans 3. Don't have group that has many member when you can't do the 2 above 4. Don't have group that has many member when some can not shine in a whole album, it's ok if some don't shine in one song but it's different when they almost have no presence in other songs.

For number 3: My impression was that BTS actually likes being under BigHit/ HYBE. Why wouldn’t they? Bighit literally launched them to be the biggest boyband (or whatever they are classified as) of today. They also have a lot of freedoms compared to other companies/ groups. Also, I’ve been seeing on HYBE’s community posts that BTS made HYBE and like, yeah but also no. BTS didn’t promote themselves, they didn’t do marketing or book gigs or anything like that (as far as I know and I’m comparing to seventeen who did do their own marketing). I think the fans are claiming that but BTS is fine where they are.

2. i somewhat agree but want to add something: i feel like some groups are way too rigid about their positions. high notes are one thing, but there's no reason the main vocalist has to be the one to sing the line that literally anyone in the group could. even more so for rappers. if one of the song's "raps" is just rhyming two sentences, literally anyone can do that. groups that can't sing are probably struggling with this, but if that's not the case, there's no reason for line distributions to be so extremely skewed. i'm not talking 5 seconds, i'm talking 19 seconds versus 50 for 2 other members in a *unit song*. there's just no reason at that point.
@nahh95805 ай бұрын
Yup. my thought on the line distribution was to let the members harmonize so atleast they share the length. I know of a pop group in another country that do this and that group never had an issue about it, and the rapper part I agree as well also there is so many songs with rap parts that destroys the flow of the whole song bcuz the word that should rhyme don't even rhyme they just sound close but not not necessarily rhyme itself even if it is in Korean it still didnt rhyme

eSeM is like a mother with Narcistics Personality Disorder (NPD). This evil mother wants her sons & daughters to perfect in all skills, sucks most money they made, but hates to see them to be more shinning than her. eSeM wants to be a star as celebrity company in entertainment industry, and hates so much to see its artists having more fans supporting them than people supporting eSeM. Why? If artists are populer and powerful than the company itself, those artists are difficult to be controlled by company. NPD personality loves money, but this entity loves "control" or "power" as #1 favor. If the artists can not be controlled, this company will destroy the artists lives. Just to show to public "eSeM is the most powerful company in Kpop industry". When the artists get destroyed financially (no pay/very small amount payments for years) and get blocked from entertainment industry, these artists will loose their shinning aura in public. Then people will believe: anyone leaving eSeM will loose his career and only eSeM can make them shinning brightly; these artists can't do anything without eSeM.

Bighit a&r is Poor as heck way poorer than hybes other subsidiaries and other kpop labels. If any member wants whole autonomy that includes not waiting for finance approval and CEO approvals for mere music video and checking if the a&r even doing their job, what's the issue then? I just find it strange that you talked about every group that's left SM except for EXO, not saying you should but the issue is fresh, and since you didn't, here's my perspective, the reason EXO won't leave is because they will be making waves by going against the company that's mistreating them, because the legal system and the GP will side with SM over EXO if there's a dispute for the name, they know that it will gain them notoriety, and in the industry that's trying so hard to erase them, it's not exactly the smartest thing to do, it's really frustrating because EXO are still really, REALLY famous, they sold the most albums they have yet last year with EXIST, they really have all what it takes to save the current Kpop, as they did 12 years ago...They are a beacon of light to hold onto in these dark times but you're being gaslit into thinking they aren't worth your time, it's time to let go of the archaic idea that you're past your prime once you hit 30, and I genuinely wish people would talk about EXO more to facilitate the exist of other members from that crappy company, they have set a lot of trends before, I am sure they wouldn't mind being pioneers once more.

1- Than company should recruit idols who can actually hit high note or belt instead of letting their idols scream and destroying their voice 3- The only fandom and company that cares about US market are army/hybe. Just like you gave the example of Bollywood, apart from SRK, no one actually making money outside India in every single film but that doesn't means others are having flop films. These western obsessed bts fans think korean , chinese and Japanese market are nothing 😂 Fact is majority of groups depends on these three markets instead of US. But they will Never agree because of their narrative of bts paving the way.
@paulamendes94325 ай бұрын
The only company who cares about the US market is HYBE? Seriously? Almost all groups from the last five years have at least one member who speaks English and release regular versions of their songs in English, if not original singles completely in English. SuperM was one of the most desperate attempts by a company to make it in the United States and SNSD and Wonder Girls also tried to make a significant entry into the American music market in their time. It's crazy for you to say that the only company or fandom that seeks "western validation" is HYBE when there's SM and YG, that, by the way, submitted Blackpink for best new artist at the 2020 Grammys. Have you been following Kpop for the past 6 years or are you just cynical? If the American musical industry is not the priority of the current generation of K-Pop, then it's the Japanese one. Chinese BARS are still super important, of course, but it's impossible to deny there was a gap formed between K-Pop and the Chinese music market because of all the bans that happened in China targeting Korean idol groups. Just look at how the number of Chinese idols has decreased considerably compared to the second and third generation of K-Pop and notice how it's unlikely that a project like EXO will happen these days. It's not crazy to say that K-Pop's current focus is the Japanese market (as the second-largest music market in the world) and the USA market, especially because you have a bunch of groups that are popular in the west but relatively unknown in SK like Stray Kidz or Ateez.
