I can’t believe this review, I drove both last week on the same trail. The Pro R has suspension modes for each type of terrain, so you don’t have to pay $1,500 every time you want your analog suspension recalibrated. Perhaps if they switched it into the “comfort” setting rather than trail or track, it would have been more comfortable. The Can Am is fun to drive in a straight line, but good luck slowing down. Most brake systems are biased towards the front, the Can Ams are not. It’s sketchy trying to slow down fast in the Can Am. The RZR turns better, stops better, you can see better out of the front, the rear (no giant rear air intake). Not to mention, you lose HP at altitude with the Can Am being its air cooled rather than liquid cooled like the RZR. Anything the Can Am does with the knuckle A-arms, Polaris does with the power steering. The DCT is cool in concept, but people fail to recognize how special the belt system is on the Pro R versus normal belt set ups. If you think I’m biased, please go drive both instead of taking this review at face value.

One of these two idiots is supposed to be a professional as he claims and a magazine, editor or journalist. I could understand the newbie complaining about the brakes being a little more spongy in the Can-Am to the Polaris, but the driver should’ve corrected him and explained that in off-road settings and in racing applications, you need a slightly sponger pedal or brake lever on a motorcycle compared to the firm pedal that you’re going to get out of your daily driver automobile. You would hate to be racing through the desert and have to take a hard turn or razor back and hit the brakes and slide, or on a race track hit the brakes and lock them up compared to hitting the brakes and gradually slowing.

The MaV R is way better than the X# in terms of handling and strength in the front end. Front visability is better as is the rear cargo area. @hitorquemags I was going to buy a mav r to go with my pro r untill i found out the maverick r has alot of problems it doesn't have navigation, doesn't have speakers because they want you to buy the audio roof but if you buy it your stuck with the stock cage and speaking of stock cage the c pillar doesn't connect to anything, has weak a arms and weak upper radius rods I saw 3 mav Rs break down at utv takeover sand hollow right infront of me 2 were bent a arms and 1 was a broken upper radius rod that broke off and stuck into the tire, soft suspension in the rear that bucks like crazy and people will say you can tune that out but the can am race mav r with tuned suspension still bucks in the rear bad, the tires rub stock inside, speaking of tires good luck finding tires for the stock rims other than the stock ITPs that are on back order for now because of the rim size, ITP from what i know is the only one, it understeers, steering is rough and jerky, its 6 lug so goodluck finding a wide range of wheels and the fit and finish is horrible so make sure to pack duct tape because pieces keep flying off of this car. Btw you have to go to the middle screen for almost everything which is ridiculous why your in the middle of riding it has no switches and you have to buy a different roof in order to run a windshield so what happens if you run a aftermarket cage with a windshield where does the roof intake go? The black and yellow mav r looks like bumble bee from transformers lol and the car is super quiet. Side note the car is always shifting which is annoying and in auto it won't rock climb the power cuts out. I could literally go on alday about how bad this car is the paddle shifters don't turn with the steering wheel, the beeping when the door is open is annoying, the car clunks and makes noises, storage in the cabin is really bad, you either run switches on the panel and have no place for intercom or gmrs radios or you run intercom and gmrs by the shifter and lose a place to run switches because lets face it you want the gmrs and intercom in the same place together in the center dash. it's sad because I love the x3 but the mav r is honestly one of the worst UTVs i think ever made. The pro r has non of those problems the only bad thing I can say about the pro r is stock cage sucks I think, 2022 pro r ball joints suck and the clutch goes out after 1500miles with 35s or atleast it did for me but these are all things you can fix alot of the things I mentioned about the mav r are unfixable. I'd take a x3 over a mav r any day of the week if your looking into a can am. Acouple of other things I forgot to mention about the mav r is it also jumps like crap and lands nose down, it wasn't used in dakar, you can't use fenders on the car especially the front and the aftermarket accessories are very limited compared to the pro r, can't put 37s on it and there Is no 4door version of it yet. When I realized all of these things I couldn't believe can am didn't think of this stuff and polaris did and the even more sad part is the pro r came out before the mav r. The pro r is simple and yet well thought out plus I love the ride command. If the dct breaks after warranty you in it to fix it for $15k. Another thing about the mav r that would be annoying is watching the upper a arms go up and down above the hood while going through whoops. I've driven both and the pro r is still king. Another side note all pro Rs come with harnesses and the smart shox mav r is the only one that comes with harnesses the rest are normal car style seat belts and to upgrade to live valve for the pro r I believe it's $3k and to upgrade to smart shox on the mav r is $10k. Also the pro r you don't have to wear a helmet by law because it's considered a buggy and the mav r you have to wear a helmet. Mav r is trash lol 🤷♂️

Comparing the top of the line polaris to the base model maverick is fucking stupid. Waste of time
@fozzybear911410 ай бұрын
Polaris is best. Except for engine, tranny, suspension, fit finish, quality, reliability
@jelias9999 ай бұрын
Yeah because the fit and finish on a new mav r is top notch 😂😂. Polaris fit and finish has come a long way, i seen them mav r's blowing hood covers off immediately out of the door.

@@jelias999ha ha ha can am guys are mostly alike. They are sensitive and love to bash on the old Polaris. Not all of them. Just most can am guys 😂

Pointless video. Drive em like you stole em and youll find a winner. Personally i lean toward the rzr

Boring host, bad editing/annoying music, bad comparison based on cost instead of matching trims, and testing top end models with casual riding….
