if you ever do a part 2, you should do the michaels brand loops & threads. also i really appreciate how you added swatches or examples because i'm a visual person 🥲

Totally agree with Lily's Sugar and Cream! I specifically use them for amigurumi for that exact reason; they stay stiff and hold their shape really well. I'm currently using Aunt Lydia's Classic 10 for a garment right now, and it is a bit fiddly, but I think once the garment starts working up, the stitch looks really pretty

I find it very interesting that you list the sheepy smell as a negative. I love that smell! I actively buy minimally processed, undyed yarn so that I have that smell and the feel of the lanolin on my hands. Just proves that different people like different things 😊

When it comes to the friends cotton sizes 8/4, 8/6 and 8/8 here is the thing. 8/4 is super fine slightly thicker than lace, great for detailed work, small projects. 8/6 is my fav it is fine weight 2 best in overall, I like this one the most. Not too thick not too thin. 8/8 is weight 3, little rough compared to the previous sizes, the colors look just tiny bit dull to me even tho its the same yarn. And the candies are cherry flavored so dont worry at all to taste them. They are legit candies. Just something small, nice extra for customers. About the factory knots, I have noticed this issue but no word about this 😅

I´m surprised you didn´t mention Knit Picks or Wool Warehouse for some extremely affordable yarns. And Purl Soho is also a great company that has a tad pricier yarns, but the quality and color selection of a number of their lines - outstanding.

my personal fav yarn is Alize Cotton Gold, it's i think a Turkish brand but omg is it amazing. I use it for majority of my projects and it is 55% Cotton 45% Acrylic. The colour range is wide and it has very few defects in terms of colour and factory knots

Linen yarn won’t “shed” if it’s good quality. I’m wearing a sweater I knit from Baltic linen, and while it’s got its tricky aspects, it never sheds . I suspect that short staple length linen fiber probably sheds a lot, but it’s not “the good stuff”. The yarn to knit the sweater was around $50 4 years ago- not that expensive to get good quality vs junk.

For the Friends cotton yarn, the 8/4 is closer to dk. They have it listed as fingering but like you said, it’s too thick for that.

Hi, as a crocheter I really like your videos, even if I don't do the projects I watch and I really like what you do. At the moment I'm learning knitting, I only know how to make dishclothes and honestly I'm a little tired of only doing that for my beginner projects. I would like to do other nice projects to improve (like I did for crochet before) can you make a video tutorial knitting project? thank you ❤❤❤

I've received three packages from Hobbii so far and no candy, yarn carelessly wrapped and they're giving me an enormously hard time about a simply exchange for color when the yarn wasn't what I ordered. Range of products and tools, good; yarn: variable; service: TERRIBLE!!!

Just wondering, why don't you recommend Red Heart for garments?
@yaejiyea5 ай бұрын
I find that the Red Heart Super Saver is super stiff and can be scratchy to wear which isn't ideal for garments - even after using various methods of softening like soaking in conditioner. For garments, I'd recommend yarns that have nice drape, but if you want a yarn that has great structure, Red Heart can be a good option. I'd recommend either Lion Brand or the Bernat Softee yarn for garments over the Red Heart Super Saver

The only time I had problems with a yarn from hobbii was with their Acacia yarn, which is this soft cotton, polyacryl mix. Its a menace to crochet with! This strands splits everytime you grab it with the hook and some of the cakes have these knots that are not pretty. And they are around 5 Euros, which is for a poor student like me very expensive.

Do you have a pattern for the "off the shoulder bow top?" Ive had a mastectomy, so with those (they were GIANT) boobs gone, I can wear off the shoulder!
