I carry the 180's as part of my EDC, have done for a few years now. Extremely handy tool to have, from my day job (machinist) to my old job (gardening -- maintaining the equiptment), to helping someone fix their bike, work on cars, really anything. I've bent sheet metal, used it as a small press to push/remove pins, pull staples, drive nails, even turn screws. I do sometimes forget to pick it up (for example when using a tool box it's easier to drop them in there when working, instead of back into your pocket) and I do miss them for the short time they're not in my pocket, incredible utility. I didn't know the smaller ones had thinner jaws, I may look into those, but honestly I'm content with the 180s, and am looking into getting some bigger ones. Just a little thing worth mentioning, on the black ones, the size marking wear off pretty quickly. Handy while they last, but after a short preiod they go all smeary and black, kind come back with deep cleaning, but never the same. I dont think the chrome versions have this issue though.

I regularly use my 8" pair at full capacity. As long as you aren't expecting to really torque down on big stuff, they're faster to use than a wrench and you can put your full bodyweight into them without any fear of rounding over. Hell, I've stood up into them pulling with both hands because there wasn't space for a wrench and the bolt needed tightening NOW

To be perfectly honest I could probably replace my Leatherman with a separate folder and the XS since I already use it at work to turn nuts and only use the knife on the LM but I like to have both

Yea - thats what I did. The leathermans are just so heavy relative to the swiss army style knives, and its all plier weight. The 4" knipex is better in most senses, except cant cut wire, but its a tradeoff Ill take.

7/8 and your doing something wrong? Or maybe because you aren't rocking the 250mm that open to 1 and 3/4 you don't realize how useful they are.

The 7¼" open to 1½" as well, and yes - obv useful for pipe stuff, but I cant see using one of the smaller ones on a bolt more than 9/16".. Either way, all awesome tools, each for its own use.
