There was once a time when vikkstar was the top 3 streamers on twitch. and saying that he has not yet capitalized the market..... he is in the top 2 richest sidemen and he has been on mainstream tv shows as well.

I love Vikk, and there are definitely some arguments to put him in god tier but I would still put him in solid. The man was a non-stop grinder and was able to build a huge following on multiple games completely separate from the other sidemen where they mostly did FIFA. He is also super likable and was able to branch out to different fanbases, including different American / Australian KZbinrs, rappers, athletes, celebrities, etc whereas the other sidemen stuck with their inner group. His Minecraft series at some points had the most live viewers on twitch, surpassing other famous twitch streamers in viewers. However, if you compare his overall content to others, it ain't god-tier. Most of his content is sit down, click record, screenshot for thumbnail, upload, rinse and repeat. Most of his videos have 0 editing or effects and id say his videos rely on his interactions with the people he's playing with rather than himself. Compare him with someone like Harry, David Dobrik, Or Niko. Their videos take days to plan, execute, and edit whereas Vikk focuses more on quantity over quality. Vikk’s videos are good, but you’re not going to watch every video he uploads or say it's the best video you ever watched. TLDR: Vikk is a god-tier human, content is mid, so solid KZbinr

@@jeezy9406 that’s true but he didn’t really do cod montages that much and for a long time. Compared to everything else he’s done e.g Minecraft, gta, fortnight, mw2 etc. most people don’t know him for his editing in montages. It’s what jumpstarted his career but his content overall still focuses on quantity over quality. After making montages his content was uploading a video 5 minutes after it was recorded. They were easy to make and is why he was able to upload 3-6 videos a day. He is still a great KZbinr but i wouldn’t put Vikk in the same tier as Pewdiepie, David Dobrik, JJ, etc.

Nah I think that rank freezy gave for Simon is perfect. Cos he obv is sick work ethic is sick and honestly like I’ve watched this guy since I was a kid and this guy was different like done sm. but in terms of making waves in KZbin, Simon didn’t really have that like as a stand alone person he’s not had a huge influence or shock to the KZbin space imo like those who are in goat tier. Vik however I could back a goat tier even though I wasn’t someone who followed his content as much, this guy has made insane moves in the minecraft scene back in the pack days and all and then when minecraft resurfaced in 2019 he still is seen as a goat collabing with like James Charles in minecraft Monday’s and stuff. Can’t forget the shit he did in war zone and pubg as well. Yes it’s all gaming based which is a more niche area compared to irl vids, but he has smashed it differently and for that I would put him in goat

Pretty accurate list except for Simon and Vik, they're defo GOATs and theres no debate about that. Vik had an immense impact on the minecraft community and was one of the biggest minecraft youtuber, the new minecraft youtubers/streamers all look up to him today and as for Simon he is an absolute workaholic and is imo the best content creator of the sidemen, hes so versatile (from vlogs to football vids, reddit, q&a, game shows, etc) as well as being one of the biggest youtuber in the UK.

Vik was one of the leading youtubers in the wave of minecraft content creators who dominated youtube for years, they crafted and revolutionised the entire gaming community at the time, putting him anywhere other than goat is disregarding his consistency and influence in og days of gaming. If we're putting Harry in goat for fifa and josh in goat for cod montages im pretty sure vik warrants a position in goat for his minecraft days. He also hard carried lockdown with his warzone streams. Another injustice was Ali A, another unsung hero who carried the gaming community, whether you like him or don't he was doing his thing. Cal probably isnt/wasn't that interested in the hard-core gaming community and therefore doesn't fully comprehend the influence that vik and Ali A has had.

I think vik is a pure gaming youtuber. His content has always been centered around the game itself. The entertainment from his videos was always derived from his ability to play a game rather than his personality while interacting with the game itself. I don't think you accouted for that, rather your judgement is based on how creatively he put his personality across. I think the sidemen themselves don't rate vik as a content creator for the same reason. Tbf this is your video and your opinion but as fans we view Viks content, thus his impact, differiently. Which is fine!

That being said the only thing I'd say makes Simon stand out in the youtube space is his consistency which is why I mentioned it. While his content is fun and enjoyable to watch for his audience, in the very very large scale of KZbin channels, I don't think any of it is incredible enough to be warranted goat. In summary, agree to disagree!
