Hey Larry! Can you please detail just how people stash all of this shit all the time? Where can dozens of guys stash 1000s of stamps, among loads of other things. If you feel like saying how, would cause problems for guys locked up, no problem, but if not, can you give us a run down on where all of this contraband goes. I can't wrap my head around how all of this shit stays hidden for months at a time. Thanks in advance. Really good channel. Love your videos.

It sounds counter intuitive, but you can whip somebody's ass without brutalizing them. Breaking a bone is deadly force. Is deadly force justified against someone unarmed in an enclosed space, like a prison cell? I say not when there are several gorillas on the delivery side of it.

I've never been to prison but I had to spend the night in jail in my mid 20s. I was in a holding cell with a bunch of other guys and there was one they had just put in. He stood by the door yelling that he needed something to drink because he was a type 1 diabetic and his blood sugar was low. One of the guards told him to shut the hell up. Guy keeps yelling asking for orange juice or anything with sugar. Guard says one time, "Shut the hell up or I'm coming in there and shutting you up." Guy keeps yelling and out of nowhere guards rush in and I see the one guard take a nightstick and just full force swing at the guy's head. Heard the crack and the guy drops. As they were pulling him out he's crying and trying to talk and that's when I realized that they broke his jaw.

Please talk about writing inmates. As a minister I wrote to Richard Scott Cartwright in USP Tucson who was on youtube as "Trucking Exec" and now I am under FBI investigation. I have seen "games that inmates play" which explains that inmates turn civilians into mules, so I don't send anything other than letters. What is your view on writing inmates?

Dont do it. Plenty of good people to witness to that are not in prison. I've seen volunteers bring in pics of their grandchildren to show the inmates they were witnessing to and I had to tell them not only is that not appropriate but the person you're witnessing to abused young kids and is probably going to exploit those pics. Was glad he never came back. Tuscon is a sex offender yard.

As a supervisor I used to talk them down into compliance until communication was no longer working. After that it was go time and you get what you get. Some guys are just having a bad day and need someone to show they care. Others its like clock work if they haven't been in trouble for a couple weeks then they get ancy and decide its time to start trouble just depends on the guy. I ran the Segregation unit day shift loved to mess with people and get them agitated then at night my officers and I would have to take control and talk most the unit down sometimes. I liked the unit smooth and quite. I used to tell them when they would say day shift did something to just relax they aren't here we are. Time to just relax shower use the phone when passed around and just get your mind back right.

What they need to do is rotate the guards out of the prisons every 6 months. Maybe less. Psychology has taught us that if you give a person power over another for too long they become abusive. Doesn't matter how good they are. It is worse when the people in charge see their wards as "lesser." Abuse gets out of hand fast.

In one pen I was in there was a woman SORT member and she was as big and meaner than most of the guys on there. She was no joke and I was lowkey thankful I wasn't there too long cause the one time I saw em pull somebody they almost killed dude over nothing, he was laying down ready to cuff up when they got the door open. It was bad. Nothing worse than not being able to breathe. I've had chronic lung problems since I'm a kid so it was always bad when I'd get piled on. I used to take a shirt and wet it and wrap it around my head when I knew the gas was coming. Leaned that when a neighboring cell got rushed and the fumes bled through the whole unit and it came in handy when it was my turn. I also would throw my mattress over the gas grenades to slow it down a lot. Made a big difference. Actually never dealt with concussion grenades in prison despite 3 jolts in 3 states and even more county stays, but I've seen em a lot at protests and demos and if ain't pretty. Seen pieces fly off when they blow and go into people's bodies. It's rough and potentially lethal. I picked one up years ago and threw it away from the crowd and it blew just as I launched it. I was wearing some heavy duty pierce resistant gloves but it coulda been very bad. Now we just use traffic cones lol There's videos on YT of former inmates going through tapes of their own extractions and showing all the ways they were able to get in sneaky shots that the camera didn't pick up. One I saw was very bad and the dude got hurt bad but on film it didn't look like much. So that ain't even an answer. It's the warrior, us vs them, these inmates are subhuman scum mentality that's the issue. They don't care that they're brutalizing people who are experiencing severe mental and emotional trauma and aren't experiencing reality, we ain't people to them when it's time to rush a cell or a pod or whatever. No different than the cops treated us for as long as I can remember just cause of where we lived.

I narrowly avoided prison when I was 19. I was a homeless kid, and was busting into people's houses and taking their shit. Well, one mark caught onto me, and reported me, and off to jail I went, charged with burglary. 3 weeks later, I get a letter from the D.A., dumb fucker only reported his marijuana missing, and the charges were dropped. Needless to say, I stopped that shit. Lesson learned.

One inmate was kept in solitary for 22 years. After awhile, he couldn't even function out of his cell. It sent him into full blown panic attacks. Even on the rare occasions when he could go to the yard (a cage) it would send him into panic. The guards would threaten to pull him out of his cell just to see him freak out smh Another guy in the UK spent 43 years in solitary...he was just released last year. The prison system is beyond fd.

10:30 I can hear the pain in your voice while retelling this story. The most I've done is 27ish days in county, but it was enough to make me have nightmares over and over. Aside from talking about your experiences, I think you are a gifted story teller, and a good human being. I hate watching shows like locked up now, whereas before that month stay, I liked them alot. I try to stay away from any subject matter dealing with incarceration. But I will always watch you Larry.

Growing up in manchester UK in the 90s i used to think i was a hardcore gangster. In and out of trouble with the police, making wrong choices left and right looking for easy money etc. Thankfully i met somebody extremely special who turned me around. I honestly wish there was somebody like you around when i was trying to be something i really wasn't. You are a huge inspiration. Youre somebody who has been there and done it and still has the strength of character to turn around and use everything that you experienced positive and negative to try to guide youngsters away from poor choices. Unfortunately a lot of people that held influence over me tended to reinforce my negative choices. I am not in any way using this as an excuse. I did what i did because i chose to. The world needs more people like you sir. Sorry for rambling on and on but your videos have really hit there mark with me. I love listening to your cautionary tales, so much so i actually use your video's as a teaching tool with my own kids. Thanks Larry.

I just came across your channel a couple days ago, and I’ve been binge watching your videos. Great content man. And I like what you’re doing. These young adults and teens going down the wrong path and thinking they are tough. Here in Greenwood SC we are dealing with a lot of violence in the young community. These kids think they are tough and gangsters, carrying guns and drugs, doing drive by shootings. We are a pretty small community, but kids are getting shot on a daily basis. They need to hear your story. My wife is a school teacher and she just tells me that these middle and high school kids brag about carrying a gun and saying they’re looking forward to going to prison.

I really don't understand the whole "extraction" thing. I worked corrections for seven years. The only times we actually entered the room of an absolute basket case in the isolation wing was to clean out weapons, gassing ammunition, or garbage. We would manhandle the guy to the floor and keep him pinned while we cleaned out his cell. If he's an apparent threat to staff, throws feces or assaults staff, we wouldn't let him out for either yard or shower. I am 6'8 and 300lbs, still one of my most reliable sidekicks was a 5 foot 130lbs woman. Tough as nails, and knew all the tricks in the book. Also, our cells didn't have any kind of windows out into the corridor. That sort of nullifies the purpose of isolation. Also, are you acting surprised the guards won't tolerate you covering the windows? The guards are responsible for your life and health. How can they check on you if they can't see you? Never mind you might be self harming or creating weapons. Another thing, mace is a godsend. It distracts more than anything. You can't really focus on anything but the pain. Bad thing is, you get accustomed to it. After being exposed to it a few times, the shock value wears off. Don't break the law, it's not that hard. If you decide to do that and you get caught, behave yourself. Prison is karma concentrated. _"I don't believe in bad people. I believe in bad choices."_ Really? I believe bad people make bad choices. Simple.

Mace is a godsend??? What? See, that's what's wrong with corrections: the mentality they teach you officers to view everything. It's so backwards and wrong. I'm an autistic woman, who got locked up at 19 for putting my abusive father in his grave to stop him from beating on my mom again. I had a bat, and theoretically didn't have to take it as far as I did, according to the courts, but I disagree. Regardless, I served a full 10 years for it, so obviously they agreed it was somewhat justified since I didn't get life. But that's why I went to prison. Maximum security my whole bid. I did 14 months of the 10 years in the Box/ SHU/ hole, because I defended myself against a CO who tried to take my body against my will. Listen to me here: the chemical stuff everyone generically calls "mace" (it's WAY stronger than regular mace in prison), is beyond inhumane. I had heart cancer during my time, and have a lot of health issues, but I'd rather be tased or physically beaten than Maced. I'd rather be tased or beaten 10x in a row, than maced ONCE. Everyone is different. For someone with Autism, we have very extremely powerful senses. We are hypersensitive to many touches, sounds, sights, etc. To the point of torture (like hearing styrofoam.) The mace was the worst thing in my life to me. Think about that.
@JadusMoltriel
@JadusMoltriel 4 ай бұрын
I had to post my comment abruptly because the video was about to end and move to next vid and thus waste my comment. So, as I was saying, the time I got maced (which was when I was fighting off a CO who had been trying to fuck me) literally traumatized me for the rest of my life. My autistic senses went into overload when it hit my eyes, got in my mouth, up my nose. I've never even been able to tolerate regular WATER getting into my eyes due to my enhanced sensitivity. So imagine "mace". Maybe a non-autistic/ non-hyper-sensory person can recovery from it, but you don't know whether a person has sensory issues in the moment. Mace is chemical warfare, and should not be allowed in prisons. Technically, tasers shouldn't either, since they can stop our heart, but it's better than mace for someone like me, even WITH my heart problems. Getting maced has given me more PTSD and trauma than actual r*pes I've been through. If you're not on the autism spectrum, you could never understand, but it's like "nails on a chalkboard" times 1000 to each sense, plus the most extreme burning and sharp and stinging pain imaginable. And not just for your eyes or vulnerable body parts. If even a drop of the stuff they use in prison touches any part of your skin, even a calloused portion, it's going to BURN like you just got stung by the offspring of a Murder Hornet and a Jellyfish. Idk how they'd mate, but if they did, the sting that creature could give would compare to how even a DROP of that chemical feels on any part of you. Now imagine it in your eyes, and IN your mouth (because officers will purposely shove it in your mouth and spray), and UP your nose. Even someone who wasn't sprayed will be shut down immediately if they just walk into an area where it was recently sprayed. Like second hand maced. It makes the air around you burn. It's torture for anyone, but quadrupely for an autistic person. No, it is NOT a godsend. It's one of the absolute most inhumane parts of prison. I'd rather you break a bone or two of mine. And when y'all have to feel it in training to get certified, you might feel the burning, but they don't spray you like prisoners get sprayed by you guys. If they even make you go through it, as they're supposed to for anyone who uses tasers or mace. Let them fill your mouth and eyes with it while others keep you pinned down, and then see if you think it's a godsend.

I once sprayed some Bear mace into my bathroom sink and even that was terrible for me. I turned the fan on and left the water running for several hours before I could re enter the room. I can only imagine how hard it would be getting hit directly in the face.

Thank you for putting out these videos Larry it helps keep me humble in this crazy world cuz no matter how bad these streets get it could always be worse right this moment grown men are being abused without prejudice of race age size color nothing they treat everyone equally as shtty and it is inhumane it takes the soul out of a man where once he comes back out after being used to so much violence death and abuse 24/7 there is hardly no way he can compete with the world today and survive on the street. It's nearly impossible to deacclimate yourself from that level of insanity and it's a sick system that needs reform its a revolving door of government entities feeding off of the anguish of communities in poverty and it's all about the money to them it truly is a classist system where the rich get richer and the poor get poorer.
