2k24 shooting upon its release was good/cool imo. Us with actual skills in the game didn’t mind the shooting until we knew our greens were intentionally becoming bricks due to the Devs wanting to mimic IRL shooting percentages and that’s on top of the horrible latency we were fighting through.

What was hard about shooting was latency. You have a difftent latency in park/rec/pro am and my career... Can't even function in the event. The lag is so bad.. This whole new shooting system is going to be based on if you can time the lag or not

2k21 shot aiming was ELITE. two ways to green. I was pissed when they took it away. Shooting with the stick feels more comfortable than shooting with X anyways. I was so elite at aiming people thought I was cheating

This “new” system isn’t new, it’s 2k22 rhythm shooter badge. You had to Shoot it with the right stick for it to trigger off. 🤦🏽‍♂️

The badge gave a boost/bonus for using the RS (simply move/push/flick it) the new SYSTEM requires a bit more (at least intended to). You move/push/flick RS in 1 direction and THEN the opposite, to "match" the RHYTHM of whatever shot you doing.

@@J.Marvelous well your first edited comment was a sentence long and “yeah, ok” really doesn’t explain much. Your two new one’s doesn’t really explain the difference more on how you feel. If you wanted to trigger the badge in 22 it was only possible with the right stick in the flow of what ever 2 not 1 dribble moves you did. That means , no turbo and for example with the right stick, left , right and immediately from right to up. The mechanics on this one function is the same. All that other subject change on this topic that you offered, I wasn’t speaking on. Just this one.

On thing I miss is being able to check the build attributes and details of any player in the REC lobby or Park. It was so nice if you got cooked in some aspect by a player, check their build and see what they were rocking.

Low risk ONLY works for wide open shots. Meaning corner sitters / poppers will use it. If you’re dribbling and pulling up in front of a defender you’ll be forced to use high risk.

I was shooting 75% in the first 3 months, until they changed it to real life percentages. Rhythm shooter was my badge a couple 2Ks ago... I'm putting it on high risk off the muscle 💪🏾

As far as shooting goes, contested shots should be really low this year. These guys said contested shots was gonna be fixed/lowered in the season 5 or 6 patch notes, but it seems like everyone was hitting contested shots at a really high percentage since then.
