Rubber Banding is definitely in the game. This is especially evident when playing Starting 5. When I play a non-scorer/ pass first player I notice that when I’m winning their team makes all their shots but when I pass the ball my team is 50. Also when I’m outplaying the other person my teammates turn the ball over regularly and get heavily out-rebounded.

There were strong momentum swings the last few 2ks. If my team started out bad we all knew we just had to keep it close bc the momentum would swing back in our favor at some point In the game, and vice versa. That’s what your timeouts are for when you are up, to break/slow down their momentum from building a comeback. That’s why randoms pmo when we have a lead and they do continuous goofy things and say “we are winning” not comprehending the momentum is gonna swing at some point

The community blames 2K for everything even when it doesn’t make sense the reason teams catch up in the second half is because people start doing stupid stuff once they’re up not pass the ball taking bad shots, etc. then the game gets close and it feels like you have to struggle to win the game because people are relaxed days ago which is why all of my games I don’t play hard until the third quarterand we purposely keep my team within five points specifically so they don’t get comfortable

Exactly. It’s called momentum and I see it all the time after the second half in my experience.
