same, very similar to that on my friend's Kodiak 700 SE in some of my videos, it looks sick on both. I wonder how My suzuki would look in orange. the kodiak rides slightly better than my suzuki and has a slightly softer seat, but tbh for my suzuki being 16 years older i can't find a technology difference other than power steering (color being another cool thing unavailable on any suzuki). both the KingQuad and Kodiak have independent suspension, 4wd with diff lock, digital gauges, things like that, but i think maybe even im not sure on his you can see the exact engine and transmission temp. My suzuki was bought for 1.2K broken down and was restored, and with everything the total cost for my suzuki was 2.2K, vs 12K on my friend's Yamaha. And the previous owner even put on a pair of Maxxis Zillas!

After owning both, its still hard to pick between them. If it wasnt for the brutes crap locking front diff.... id be all for that over the kq. Brutes are worse on maintence but ehh I wouldnt mind it as parts for them are much cheaper and easier to come by than the kq. I bought my brute lifted so hard to compare ride quality between the 2. Would really like to try owning a canam but $$$$$. Cant beat the rotax reliability and power though. Their suspension setup also gives world of clearance and less stuff to get caught on when in the mud. Want to find a newer 650 xmr cheap but hard to do and even then your looking at $5k+ atleast in my area. Probably my only gripe with those would also be the front diff. No real locker.

Lol anyone that says Suzuki is more reliable than a kawi is smoking from a glass tube. King quads are great but build for build brutes will always have more aftermarket support, Kawasaki's proven power and be far more budget friendly. A 750 brute is about 1500-2000 cheaper new than the king quad and can be optioned with anything you could ever want.direct from Kawasaki. The newest bikes from kawi also have more options than can am and polaris.

@@ChaoticDave69 Lmao you have owned every unit on the market ehh. Must be a millionaire atv review group. I think you might want to add up costs and read reviews. I’ve been an atv mechanic since 2006 and I can flat out tell you Suzuki is the bottom of the Japanese machines. The newest kingquad is Suzuki’s first good atv since the early 90s. And it’s still not there design it was built between them and Yamaha. It has 10 less hp than the brute has a worse locker that’s known to fail on stock tires let alone mud tires and parts cost twice as much. if your a mud rider the brute has more ground clearance and the axles are almost twice as thick. there is also more aftermarket support than can am. The eiger was the last good bike Suzuki made till the 2020 kingquad dropped. and it was actually a Yamaha designed engine in there quads back then the original kingquads and arctic cat 300s used the same Yamaha engine. Honda is the best Japanese machine in terms of quality Kawasaki is the best in comfort and power Yamaha is the best of both worlds then there’s Suzuki. I’m not against them but they have 1 good machine and have been known for years to have nothing but issues with electronics and very flimsy plastics. 1 good quad does not turn an entire business around. Come out with good line up after good line up and then they will be a "good" brand. Also don’t forget the lack of dealers for Suzuki. There probably 10 in all of Canada and the us that are actual Suzuki licenced dealers were even cfmoto has at least 90 dealers. Kawasaki has over 100 same with Honda etc. Suzuki motor group in the early 2000s was calling every powesports dealer in Canada and the us and they were being sold everywhere. Unfortunately they wouldn’t honour warranty’s they would take months to get something like an oem air filter let alone if something major happened so people quit buying them.

@buildurtruckurway9118 2 жыл бұрын
@@ChaoticDave69 I think you need to do you research. The arctic cat 300 and the 300 kingquad both use a Yamaha designed engine they themselves never used. Just because it’s branded a Suzuki part doesn’t mean it was designed by them. The only differences between the drive lines is there’s no super low in the arctic cat and no front locker. I just looked it up on google and Suzuki does only has 12 Suzuki licensed dealers in all of Canada all the other dealers supply them at there own cost and will also sell other atvs on there lot/showroom which any branded dealer does not do. Those are a power sport shops that hold no loyalty to a specific brand meaning they can stop selling Suzuki and start selling another brand tomorrow. Just like bass pro etc. Meaning the manufacture will usually hold up any warranty issue make you drive it 100kms to the nearest licensed Suzuki shop. I’m the city of Calgary alone there’s 3 Honda dealers 2 Kawasaki dealers 2 cf moto 4 canam dealers and even an arctic cat dealer. And 1 Suzuki dealer for the entire southern half of Alberta. I worked at both Kawasaki for 8 years and Honda for 3 and can tell you they are a superior product. The newest kingquad lineup might be a true gem but I’m yet to be surprised by any Japanese bikes lately. Even Kawasaki for an absolute lack of updates. The brute needs front suspension work always has but changing to an aftermarket front shock completely changes the front geometry. I’ve seen it ride em and know. Suzuki’s king quad has been consistently updated since 2013 every other model year but they are only just catching up. As I said 1 atv doesn’t make up for 20 years of stale choices on there part. It doesn’t make them a low end machine either just not the most popular. I think all the Japanese machines are superior to American and Canadian made machines but As the market is aiming towards 60+hp machines Kawasaki’s 750 is the only thing fitting that bill from japan. If Suzuki really makes an effort they can make huge leaps in the atv world by either aiming for economy based machines for farmers and trail riders or they can try to reinvent the wheel and go balls to the wall on the kingquad. Kawasaki has used the exact same vtwin design since the mid 90s on the prairie 650 and 700. They also run it in the mule the teyrx and anything from high end commercial equipment like generators alot John deer units etc. Just goes to guarantee the most reliable engine brands are Honda and Kawasaki in the small engine scene. So if said flaws were there they wouldn’t be as big as they are. With how Many units sold over Suzuki in the last 15 years there’s also bound to be more horror stories. Once Suzuki makes an entire decade Of great machines again they will have a following

There are little to zero differences in dependability between any of the Japanese manufacturers. Honda, Suzuki, Yamaha and Kawasaki all build good stuff. But power and power used often breaks things. This discussion is about a King Quad vs a Brute Force and quite frankly the Brute Force has way more power. It has far more capabilities to break something compared to your grandpas 15hp Honda Rancher. But a Brute Force is a very dependable long term quad and so is the King Quad...Grizzly etc. But the statement of King. Do some hard digging and research Kawasaki Heavy industries. The next time your flying 30,000 feet up in a Boeing 777 , your ass thats on the line is riding Kawasaki. Kawasaki also builds Helicopters and is in the space program too. When it comes to producing a product of any type Kawasaki gets in no hurry to release anything and before it hits the market its ready. Look at any reviews on UTV dependability and Kawasaki rules in structural integrity. Suzuki builds a fine machine from thier GSXR line of motorcycles to the King Quad and everything in between. But to say it dominates in any of those in terms of performance or dependability is someone either completely brain washed or ignorant. Did you know that the old King Quad back in the early 2000s was so dated and Suzuki for whatever reason didn't revamp it so instead they bought Kawasaki Praries from Kawasaki which at the time was destroying everything, colored it yellow and called it Twin Peaks. To this day that is the stoutest motor ever in a Suzuki 4x4 utility quad, it was a Kawasaki with a Suzuki sticker....lol. And from there sometime around the time Kawasaki updated to the Brute Force Suzuki came out with a new version of the King Quad. It was still way behind in terms of power. My dated 2003 650 Prarie dusted it in any performance category and lasted many years without fail. But it did haul an electronic shift Rancher out of the mountains and many times broke belt Polaris. The Brute Force is basically unchanged from its introduction and that V twin that is in a 2022 is the same powerplant that Kawasaki introduced in 2003. It still remains the most powerful powerplant in a Japanese 4x4 quad. And for several years back then, Artic Cat bought Kawasaki V twin motors and put in thier 4 wheeler. And if you have a zero turn lawn mower with a good motor, well it has a Kawasaki V twin. It damn sure dont have a Suzuki. People can utter thier uneducated, opinionated, pure bias fan boy blabbering. A mouth is likely to say anything. There's you some facts. King starts with a "K".

Stock to stock Brute Force destroys, anyone who doesn't know that has lived on a deserted island for the last 15 years...lol. And if you want to mod, I have a clutch mod that basically cost nothing that increases top end to 81mph. The old Prarie 650/700 and the 750 Brutes are heavily timing retarded right on the bottom end hit and then again around 60. Used to be a company call Diamond G racing that had a timing module that wired into the Mitsubishi ignition/computer. Simply wicked. I was smoking stock 450 racing 4 wheelers with it. @lil2.74
@lil2.74 2 жыл бұрын
@@rmr5059 Man there is something really wrong there. Every one I ever saw ran minimum 67 so something is way off. Either the CVT clutches are so worn out that the belt will not ride up as high in the drive clutch or the belt is worn so thin causing the same thing or both. The only other thing I can think of is big mud tires which makes the speedo read slow. I have never told anyone my secret mod but hey I am not going to go into business with it for sure although I used to do them for a few people. But none of what I do is going to matter, a 56 mph youve got some kind of problem. If I could visually look at your cvt in person would be a plus but that's not possible. Get it back to running 67, new belt or cvt clutches or something.
@lil2.74
@lil2.74 2 жыл бұрын
@@rmr5059 I have a little more time to reply now than earlier. The first thing is that you have a 2003 Prarie so it likely has a bunch of wore out stuff. If it has big giant mud tires then it actually runs faster than the speedo reads. Anyone with straight line performance goals will ditch the power killing mud tires. Reciprocating weight kills straight line accelleration performance on a quad. I don't know the history of it but AGAIN for certain something is really really wrong for it to run 56mph unless its big tires. The counter weights could also be worn out as well or it could have aftermarket stuff in there designed for mud tire. The Kawasaki unlike all others really limited the amount of belt travel in the clutch. Corporate lawyers back in the day advised Kawasaki to dial that 4 wheeler back from what the prototype was delivering so they limited timing on the hit, limited timing after 60 and limited final drive gearing by limiting belt travel, both of the later cut top speed. It was the first V twin placed in a quad and that quad wasn't a sport quad designed for that kind of performance. Things were different then and Kawasaki is a different company than most. They dialed it back like advised. All that being said if you fix whatever the issues are, assuming that the engine is running great my guess is it needs all of the CVT assembly replaced. Now to my mod. Every Prarie I laid hands on ran 68-69 stock when new except for mine, it ran 67. All of the Praries in my group drag raced every utility 4x4 quad made. Stock to stock it destroyed everything, 660 and 700 Grizz, 700 King Quad and 700 Polaris. Given enough room like down the highway however, some of those would catch a Prarie on top speed due to gearing. Prarie against the limits of the CVT. Oh and by the way to all of the Suzuki braggers, Suzuki bought Praries from Kawasaki for a few years and called it Twin Peaks. That was "Suzukis" quickest utility 4x4 and it was a Kawasaki in yellow. Lol. So with a Prarie with a good condition CVT clutching assembly you can see that the belt rides up stopping way short of the top on the front assembly. You can remove the front assembly (requires specialized tools) and see that it will not close any further because the cone shape is touching in the center. I took the assembly apart and had the tip of the cone/center machined down 69 thousandths. The outer one only!!!!! I spent a good amount of time calculating the amount that was safe. It creates a flat area at the bottom of the cone area but doesn't effect it as the belt doesn't ride there . At idle the belt sets there with everything fully open. So with 69 thousandths removed it should close that much more. But the outer plate held on with 6 or 8 bolts also bottoms so you have to shim it out. I shimmed mine 70 thousandths. Reinstalled and it ran 81mph. And after years of use on mine and others I had no issues. And it really changed another characteristic of the quad. Any kind of cruising or trail riding a stock Prarie or Brute Force turns quite a bit of rpm. Shimming out that plate allow the clutch to close quicker and easier as it lessened the tension on the internal springs. It kept rpm lower and would use that low end torque out of the corners and cruised 55mph way more pleasurable. Also went further on a tank of fuel. The mod is well worth the time. My machine shop charged me 20 for the machining and Kawasaki shop charged me nothing to pop off assembly. I simply put the 4 wheeler in my truck, removed CVT cover and front clutch assembly bolts so all they had to use was thier puller to pop it off. Then put everything back myself. I also did the Diamond G racing module (negated factory timing retards) , a 2 degree key on the crank, FMF exhaust, carb rejet and ran stock tires from a similar year Grizzly. From a dead stop punch you had to let out in a drag race, feather the throttle or you couldn't hold it down. It destroyed everything except for modded Banshees. Now a days they have 1000cc 4 wheelers and I can't speak on those but a 2022 Brute will destroy any 2022 King Quad or Grizzly stock to stock in ACCELERATION. These guys saying that the King Quad will hang all day must be talking about top speed and on 4 wheelers the main limitation on top speed is final gearing when the cvt is fully engaged. All of these quads have modest top speeds and enough power to at least run marginally faster with either a gearing increase or rpm limit increase. But the measure of power is accelleration and from a dig a Brute will dust them.
