hi there why you said only about average salary if you know that payments are usually minimum wage almost 90 percent in NL and this is around 1500 a month netto

2800 before tax sounds pretty low. Does it include part-time workers?

2800 euros before tax is based on 36 or 40hrs of work. So if you're working part-time (typically 24 hours or less/ week) the amount would decrease proportionally.

@@MakingitinHolland Wow all the people I know in NL must be pretty well-off. Interesting. Could it be the salaries and living costs much lower in inland than in Randstad? Otherwise it's hard to imagine someone 35+ living on that.

It seems low but it is actually a good amount because in my experience the housing may be expensive to some the majority of goods and services are of decent pricing, but then again that's coming from a person who lived in California lol so a lot of "expensive" things do not really seem so expensive to me.
