Don't worry it's fine! I've seen a lot of Trans people actually joke about this song being so trans-coded despite the author's views though, and the first time I heard it, I genuinely thought this song was about gender identity or identity in general since Historical Brutus is a man and because of the lines "...my mother wished she'd had a son?" and "I wanna be YOU" . Still, it's frustrating to have such a good song but the artist have such negative views 😓

the thing about "making way for a son" could totally be about scar (the most recent winner, son of cleo, & who pearl died to in SL), but on its own it just feels like. she feels like she's not wanted, like she's alone and isolated and there was supposed to be someone else but there isn't. i am SO NORMAL about pearl i PROMISE

IKR??? this song is so perfect for double life pearl and my inner shakespeare fan quakes everytime "something wicked this way comes" is associated with pearl. Another thing to note about how this song fits with her is how this song is about Rome- who's origin myth is heavily associated with wolves, the story of Romulus and Remus. Probably not intentional but 0:30 has me on a leash

Yo the song fits eerily well. "Something wicked this way comes"- she literally chanted those exact words in that cadence, and "am i motivated by hatred? Is it love?"- really explains Pearls character, her heart broken, wishing only to be Scotts soulmate, but also hating him for leaving her.

Oh, man! I see the thumbnail says "Brutus" and my attention is immediately caught because I really like the song, quickly followed up by noticing it's Pearl Double Life, By which at that point I knew I just HAD to watch it. Before I clicked on it I noticed it was by you, 10 minutes ago, and I'm like "If I had just checked my subscriptions first!". Anyways, I got super hyped up to watch this animatic in the 20 seconds I knew of its existence, and grabbed my sister since we're both big fans of your work. It did not disappoint. Admittedly, the cut part of the lyrics caught me off guard because I expected the usual lyrics, but the cut was very well done and very smooth! I expect to be rewatching this quite a few times in the near future, especially my favorite part when you have the animated eclipse near the end. Pearl's expressions are very captivating to look at, along with all the camera angles you do near the beginning. The slight movement/animation you put for each frame/picture does a really good job of not only help give a feeling of movement, but also makes everything a lot more visually engaging. Hope you don't mind the rant lol, I just really like everything you made and put together to make this awesome animatic. Many kudos!
