@@selenophile5256 As I understand it, she killed the angel out of love, hatred, and jealousy. She put in just as much work, time, and effort, and was as great an artist and poet and warrior, but all of the people only saw and loved and respected and valued the angel, so her jealousy and anger grew and grew and resentment built up, and as it did, the angel was also becoming too powerful and too capable of taking over everything, and so to prevent his tyranny, but also out of hatred and desire to be as beloved as him, she killed him. At the end when she says "the people will call me Rex." Rex is the Latin word for king. By killing him she proved her strength, by her lies about why she killed him the people will turn to her in love and adoration because she saved them from tyranny, and then she will become the angel as the people that now love her enthrone her as they would him.

This is so beautiful. I love this color scheme and how later on it contrasts with the bright violent red! This character’s backstory is so interesting, how their admiration turned jealousy (or always a jealousy) changed their fate forever! I love how clear yet also mysterious the storytelling here is. It’s so intriguing
