Never been a real fan of 6x6, besides their novelty and engineering. But that is precisely the appeal of this rig, how amazing BR's engineering shows in every detail, makes it quite appealing even to a non-6x6 guy.

I want one....in 1/1 scale though hahaha. yeah, that chassis is a work of art....Funny you brought up the spring rate, I was going to mention that when watching the video. The springs seem to be a little stiff. I think that's because in regular vehicles, the springs are dual rate: they have a "comfort" zone as well as a "load" zone. The drive train is off the hook. You could tell the quality because when you were turning one wheel, you could only hear the motor turning not the drive train, trans, etc. amazing bit of kit that one.

I glued a magnet body clip & one of them was the incorrect polarity I was so mad at myself! This rig is awesome is it just a trail truck or can it crawl? I like the look & sound of it. I’m hoping you get the new Sendero trail truck. I’d love to see it on the rock problem track. I just got mine actually a hour ago & it sits in front of me ready to pull out of the box. I also just got the new 1:18 Scale Capra & waited on my TRX M Defender. It’s a good time to be a RC enthusiast. But that truck man it’s on a higher level of quality thanks for sharing it.

Thanks. Yeah I've thought about it. When we move it'll be to a place with dedicated space for this stuff. I've got tracks planned for various classes then. Meanwhile, at this place I may do that. There's a scale appropriate course I can make that weaves through the current rocks. I should get a comparison happening, you're right.

Do they offer this truck with the steering wheel on the left side ???
@RCTNT Жыл бұрын
No idea, sorry. It's common in the UK and Australia but the wheel is on the right. Do they sell the Defender in the USA? If so, perhaps there's a dash option for it too. Have a look on Asiatees (link in deception) and see what you can find.
@zm66582 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately I can't decide between a link BRX02 or a Vanquish Pro. I know very different but priced similarly. Excited for your BRX02 4x4 finish. Also do you think they'll release the SWB newer body defender (same as current D110 they make but that isn't the wagon) when they come out with the shorter chassis?
@RCTNT2 жыл бұрын
In your shoes I'd be basing my decision on available driving locations - what's suited for the BRX vs the more capable VP? Also on what my friends run, if I planned on driving with them regularly. (More fun if similar rigs, IMO). Then again, it's hard to pass up a tidy scale rig, isn't it! Team Raffee Co. already have a D90 body, so when the Boom Racing SWB chassis kit releases in ?March next year, my expectation is that they'll bundle it with this: www.teamraffeeco.com/-2872 (I don't know this for sure but call it an educated guess). Also, keep in mind they're releasing that older style body soon I mentioned in the video here. The shorter one would presumably fit the SWB chassis too.

@@RCTNT Great advice. Thanks for your time on that. Also great work. By far my favorite RC channel so far... the least polished- in a good way. At 31, and with no shortage of hobbies I've grown to become quite reliant on KZbin for, it's refreshing to see a channel less seemingly biased and made out to sell products to us. I'm a bit skeptical of some of the other RC channels. But you're killing me here. Just found your vid on the Phoenix. I think I'm just going to go that route. What a kit! This is also my first experience with RC. I build models and am a tinkerer on small diesel tractors and the like but need something a little cleaner so I can help out with the baby without smelling like noxious chemicals!

Thank you and I understand. You can't really go wrong with either kit.
@georgeschidiac912510 ай бұрын
how are you managing the antenna of the receiver ?
@RCTNT10 ай бұрын
From memory I coiled it inside the receiver box. This isn't ideal for maximum range, but for a crawler or trail rig you really don't need it.

So, do you think this will go with a TRX-6?🙂
@RCTNT6 ай бұрын
It'll compliment it beautifully in your RC garage, sure: this is the scale driver while the TRX6 is the capable one. Drive the one you feel like, as they're quite different. But if you mean, can they drive together? I mean, they *could*, but the BRX02 will be vastly less capable than the TRX6, again due to that spectrum of Scale to Capability. As long as your expectations match that, go for it!
@kenneth_jensen6 ай бұрын
@@RCTNT sorry, wasn't specific enough, my bad. Do you think this BRX02 Defender body will fit the TRX-6 chassis? You will get the best of both worlds. Although the TRX-6 will probably crawl a little worse 🙂
@RCTNT6 ай бұрын
Ah I see. I can't get out and measure for you tonight sorry, but go look at the track width for the TRX axles and for the BRX90 axles that run under the BRX02. I'm pretty sure you'll find the trx6 is significantly wider. And the extra weight would hurt its capability considerably, if that matters to you.

I have boom racing d90 chopped. Nearly as good as rc4wd but not quite. However parts are a bit cheaper. I would say the brx 02 chassis is in a different league to rc4wd, no doubt they will catch up. Rc4wd d90 has a licensed hard body from land rover but boom racing doesn’t but it’s pretty close.
@RCTNT2 жыл бұрын
Funny you say that. The very next video on this channel discusses this very thing! I have a bit to say on this subject but the video covers it well. I will say the RC4WD body is a total winner but the gear on the BRX platforms leaves RC4WD in the dust, especially where quality is concerned. Still, it's great to have the choice these days!

You can add 2wd/4wd and/or overdrive at the same time on the transfer case. I did both on my BRX01 and it came out perfectly. I haven't had the mercury and probably won't. But the BRX02 and 01 are gorgeous scale models that I really enjoy. I paid full price for my BRX01 and all the accessories when I built it. Was totally worth it. I'm not a huge fan of the 6x6 implementation here, but the 4x4 variant is excellent. Cheers
