This brx02 is of impressive quality, now I can clearly see the operation of the leaf springs and shock absorbers, the flexibility and the tension hold is excellent. Good observation on the greasing of the bearings, this is very common on rc, the gear is greased but not the bearings. It really is a great rc.
@JCRC3 жыл бұрын
Yes greasing is very important - but not in the video for obvious reasons :) I love the way the suspension works on this model, especially since it is leaf springs!!

@@JCRC Yes me too I find that this system of blade plus shock absorbers is top 👌

I have had leaf springs in the past, most were rubbish. The RC4WD ones are rubbish and the ones on eBay are exactly the same but the ones on the BRX01/02 are very different, the shape is different and you can feel the quality in your hands and when you operate the suspension manually. You can see this in the performance of my BRX01 and 02 videos :)

@@JCRC I saw when you were talking about these blades, there is an edge which, as you say, must prevent the blade from deforming. I've never been a fan of leaf springs because I found that it was never going. Too hard or too soft, I have two or three sets of blades here that I don't use. But I must admit that these blades of the brx seem of very good quality.
@JCRC3 жыл бұрын
I had 4 sets on the 8x8 .. I think I replaced them 2 or 3 times, after each time I drove it. I always thought the RCs were not heavy enough for them to operate well, but the 8x8 proved me wrong. The problem with that was that the leaf springs were RUBBISH! I had asked if the ones from Boomracing were available to buy for the 8x8 without having to buy all the kit but they were not sadly, so the project never moved forward. Pity, because they are very good. The end of the spring is twisted and helps the leafs to slide easier on each other with less surface area to crate friction, thus performing so much better

Nice work Joe. Cool looking rig. Just wish Jason went with a spring-over and a truck body...not something that's extremely top heavy.
@JCRC3 жыл бұрын
There is a coilover/linked version of this, comes with the same body. That would work while you sell off the D110 body as new!

Hi Joe, will the production Cars also have a carbon frame? Cool to have production Santanas now.
@JCRC3 жыл бұрын
Yes, chassis rails will be in carbon fibre in the production models!
@jonthomas84873 жыл бұрын
I’m not sure where they were going with the carbon chassis. That knocks it out of most Class 0 or Class 1 scale competition
@JCRC3 жыл бұрын
Different people with different ideas I guess. I would not be surprised if the aluminium rails come out as an option in the future.
@jonthomas84873 жыл бұрын
@@JCRC it looks identical to the BRX01 other than the really long wheelbase and carbon chassis of the 02 and specific body mounts for the Raffee body
@JCRC3 жыл бұрын
That is true, but them most cars are like that in real life too .. but yes, same transmission, t-case, axles (wider) and receiver box!!
