The beauty of are hobby is there's no rush. You take as long as it takes to get done. That's a great looking kit. Half the fun is building it.

Thanks. You're right - I was largely fretting about taking so long to do what I told Asiatees I'd do. But yes, enjoying the build is a big deal - Lego knows this, and RC is often a similar thing. ...that said, a friend and I drive our BRX vehicles together often and these things are durable, capable, reliable and fun! Definitely a contender for my choice in the "if you could only have one crawler" exercise!

That's quite the rig, it turned out very nicely. There's a lot of impressive scale detail and thought put into that thing. Not just in how it looks when it's finished, but in the actual assembly. For someone who takes such painstaking effort to get it right as you do, it's just the right kit. It has been fascinating to follow along on the journey as you built this thing. Between the commentary and the assembly, all the little observations and even the occasional fumbles. I've really enjoyed the series and would be delighted to see another of this type as you go along. Your build videos are some of my favourites, I must say. Thank you for sharing, looking forward to the next exciting episode of "Building with Craig".

That's such a lovely kit. There's something so satisfying about putting a kit together. Especially, one that's been so well thought out. As for the body, Toyota would be great. There are so many Land Rovers out there, something a little different would be nice. It's been well worth the wait to see this chassis finished. Can't wait to see the body done, and it's all cone together. 🤗

Thanks Rob, it's a lovely model! I've got the 60-Series LC body painted up, but have yet to finish the details. Need to sort a mounting system for it too. I'll have a go at all that later this week :)

Nice to see it up & running the satisfaction is usually well worth the time spent & effort after you actually take it out. I don’t have a lot of time to build so I’ve had upgrades just sitting & id get aggravated at myself & almost force myself to complete them some have sat for atleast a year but I’ve managed to pick off pretty much most of them. I’m just starting a build using my Sendero HD chassis I hate to see the original half cab go away but maybe I’ll use it again. So that Element chassis is my base I’ve ordered Rock Pirates Bed & Interceptor chassis rails Proline cab new wheels as well & electronics. I’m just wondering how long it’ll take to complete 😂

It's definitely asking for that 60 series on top... but do that chassis justice, and get a hardbody one, they're around! Will take quite a bit of effort, but being that this project has already been a slow burner, might as well. Besides, once completed, I bet it'd look amazing!😍😍😍

That would be cool, but I really don't want a 3d printed body. I do plan on driving this thing and styrene is strong enough. Just!

The finish line is in sight! That looks like an excellent kit. It looks like quality parts and quality planning. Very nice rig. Selfishly, I do hope you get the FJ60 body. A good friend of mine just picked up a '85 FJ60 and I'm very curious as to the quality of the body for a future project. That body looks good in the pictures but even I can be made to look good in pictures so you just never know. Thanks for the review and I hope you have a great day!
@RCTNT
@RCTNT Жыл бұрын
Thanks Chris! Lol The body is very nice. I've painted it already. The body arrived a little crushed but I'm ignoring it because there's no easy remedy. Can't see it through the paint and it's minor. I do regret not better masking the windows, those stickers should have been a tad bigger and I could have used tape, but that's a lot of effort and time I elected not to spend. What I'm going to do is carefully trim away some tidy lines from the plastic covering the body, around the window sills, then I'll hit them with black and then lexan matte clear coat. I think it'll do the trick. Then I've gotta work out how to fit it to this beastie. Thinking of using the side rail system but I'll need to build an internal frame for the body first. Working on it!
@WestyCoastHermit
@WestyCoastHermit Жыл бұрын
@@RCTNT That's awesome!! I know you didn't do it for me but thanks for getting that body! Haha. Too bad it arrived damaged but it sounds minor and that's not so bad. I look forward to seeing how you've painted it and I have noted that the window masking will need attention when I get that body. It's a shame it doesn't fit quite right. Thanks for the information. Mounting the body is a fun challenge. I think your on to something by mounting it to the rails with some ingenious yet to be developed fastening system. I've not seen one in person but something akin to how a TF2 body is secured into the rails is what's popped into my head. Alternately, I don't suppose you can "borrow" the mounting system from a TRX4 or the Rescuer if those would fit. I look forward to seeing what you come up with but if you can avoid it, no body clips. Please? The 60 is too handsome to have big ol'posts sticking out the top. I'll wish good luck with the rest of the build and I hope you're having a fulfilling day!

They're both epic. Both are quite similar, too. I think you'll be happy with either - I know I totally would be, if I only had one. It helps that they're cross compatible with their upgrades and driveline, for the most part.

It isn't easy to find in Australia either. Asiatees for the win! I'd be happy to put them side by side (BRX01 and 02). They're similar. Carbon fibre is the biggest difference. Coils vs leaf springs is also similar. I don't think I have a side by side of that yet, I'll get to it in a relevant video soon.

Nice build! That rig has been on my bucket list for quite awhile! I do have a couple vanquish models and the axles on the BRX look very much like the F10s in the vanquish kits..Any idea if they’re the same?
@RCTNT

Thanks! These axles are definitely not the same as the F10 axles. Both are very good. The BRX70, BRX80 and BRX90 axles are modular in design, have portal options as well, and a wide range of possible gearing. They're nice. See the video description for links. Vanquish stuff is, of course, premium also :)
