A song that may haunt a'many of us. Good to see Brian again! This is the 3rd version of this song I've listened to today. Isn't KZbin wonderful, sometimes. I just heard a very different version from 1918. The style was too old for me to relate to, much. The the Murphy Beds were studio-modern, with sweet harmonies and arrangements. And Brian, and his haunting rendition. I'm satisfied. Before today, I'd never heard the song. We all have those 'sweet smiles'...

I never liked the sound of those picks. I play bare fingered and it lets the harp sound so sweet. A sound you just can't get with those scratchy old picks.

I forgot to mention it takes a lot of playing and pain to get those thumb calluses built up, but it's worth it. Play the melody with the pinky and a longer fingernail.

I agree the sound he makes with this instrument is jus so Lovely! not at all like what I have known as an autoharp accompanyment! He is a real artist with this autoharp!
