North Shore Lifeguard captain Bryan Phillips was recently recognized as Honolulu's Employee of the Year. Keeping beachgoers safe has always been a tall task on one of the world's most dangerous stretches of surf. The challenges of the last year have made that even more true. Bryan Phillips has risen to that challenge.
