Bamcos main concern with taunt is that Bryans can now get an easy launch with taunt db1+2 so they added scaling, which slaughtered every other taunt option

It’s not a launch -.- it can only be a launch if you have heat activated already. It’s no different than heat dash off Paul deathfist, I guarantee you that deathfist or Bryan Mach punch would be much easier to land then heat dash to a combo than taunt db1+2. You need to create situations to even land the taunt first while moves like deathfist can be just thrown out and if it lands, you can combo off it

Honestly, I feel like the damage should scale for every single taunt followup EXCEPT this one, give it the T8 treatment where if you're actually able to land TJU, you get a blue spark for it, and it does good damage

With all those blue spark requests on every character the game can just ask before the fight if you want to play Tekken 7 or Tekken 8. There's nothing wrong with changes. And players will have to find a work around these...

It’s interesting that the balancing team have thought about this advanced, niche thing and nerfed it quite hard (not without reason of course), but they’ve left or put in other remarkably simple things and given it the most insane advantage and damage. If beginners were to derive more enjoyment out of the game pressing some buttons and successfully dealing a decent amount of damage *against each other* then I’m all for it. But I don’t understand the point in flattening the gap between beginners and higher level players in terms of the damage you can dish out, at all. Reward advanced players for impressive combos including those with TJU’s imo.

Definitely Tekken 5 DR Bryan staple combos were 5 hits and 50% HP damage Tekken 8 Bryan combos with rage and heat 23 hits and 40% HP damage

the main problem now is that heat engage and heat dash make tju broken and you could literally ko someone round start by hitting a heat engager into tju into death if it wasnt scaled. Becasue when you heat engage or heat dash your in their face and plus a million and you do the unblockable.

Other characters are able to do more without having to worry about off axis combos, strict timing and execution….I wouldn’t mind if they game him more mix and evasion like Xiaoyu because even though her damage is low her ability to set you up after a combo makes up for it a little bit
