This was the worst possibility for this season. I wanted Stroud, but I was willing to give Bryce a fair chance. Last yr was his rookie yr. I was willing to buy into the lack of weapons and maybe even the line. I get this is week one, but this performance by him gives no one anything to use as hope going forward. I think drafting bryce was a set up by the league and media to trick tepper because he thinks he knows everything. The S2 test or whatever was never really media mentioned until the previous draft, then it was certain team Suicide to draft stroud because of it. From film study(Colts, Bears, Vikings, Falcons twice, Buccaneers twice and Saints twice) I just didn’t see anything from Bryce that made me go “ah I see why he was drafted number 1”. His floor is Joey Harrington and the ceiling is Alex Smith this was his stats his first 3 seasons 54.3% 19 passing Tds, 31 ints 5.5 YPA passer rating in the 60s. So don’t worry panther fans you just have to wait 3 more years until he finally becomes a game manager!

As a fan, the problem appears to be both organizational and Young looks to be a bust. Tepper is the bigger problem, however. His management lead to Young's pick, McCaffery and Moore leaving, multiple coaches and staff changes, and a generally toxic environment.

Everyone, makes the comment that the Panthers are a terrible franchise. They correct. However, they never explain how they became bad. When Mike Mccormick and Bill Polian, were running the store, Jerry Richardson was asked, do you want to build slow or win fast? Jerry said fast. Both executives soon left and Jerry's son became team president. I know it was a long time ago, but they've never been able to correct it because even with newer ownership, this team makes bad decisions and hire the wrong people!
