While pursuing a master’s degree in Norway and waiting on his green card to get a job, Thomas picked up his leatherworking tools to craft and sell beautiful leather wallets. That’s when he saw the endless opportunities of making leather goods - and realized he enjoyed creating with his hands more than school itself. After making the bold decision to drop out of his master’s program to pursue entrepreneurship, Thomas packed up his bags and headed back to San Diego to launch Bryer Made out of his house. As the business began to take off, he moved Bryer Made to an industrial space where he could expand his small batch production by tapping into wholesale and B2B sales. Specializing in handcrafted wood and leather goods, Bryer Made designs and produces custom pieces for the hospitality and restaurant space, like menus, check presenters and signs. With his artisan skills, top-tier services and quality designs, Thomas continues to pave the way to success while staying true to his artisan calling.
