Its funny, your statement, how I was raised, my father told me, if you want to get anywhere in life, learn golf, its the true business language. I now know why he said this, it was becuase people who might be interested in doing business with you want to see how you handle pressure, sense of humor, do you cheat, learn from mistakes, humble, ego etc... the golf course brings alot out of a person. I think alot of generational wealth has been made on the course. Well before our own times. Food for thought.

I grew up playing football, baseball and golf. People have always and will always look for ways that they feel improve and advance the sports they love so much. What is good for the sport and what players enjoy is individually subjective. My subjective opinion is that the professional athletes in any given sport should be the loudest voice in any room that is seriously considering making changes to the sports we know and love. I believe the professional players as a group feel the most personal responsibility to balance, mold and guide their sport to make it as successful, entertaining and safe as it can be.

I think the biggest issue with LIV, is that people don't understand it, no major network coverage, and what has been put out there is negative and It's been all about driving a wedge between fans. So when PGA out of no where "OK, we'll take the money too" they royally screwed the loyal players who stuck with them. Can't imagine the regret and feeling used and dumped on. Not cool. Definitely an evolution taking place.

The PGA has had ZERO interest in growing the game out side of the USA… That has been the case for 50 years plus… Any who tried was squashed. The arrogance of the PGA to expect all the great players of the world to cow toe to them is their undoing.. Golf is a global game and demands to be treated as such. Shame on the PGA for stifling that reality for their own gain. Like the ‘World Series’ their vision has been pathetic and damage to the game No standing tournaments in Australia, Asia, India, Africa, and ONE in Europe that for years a select few PGA players participate in is pathetic… Thank god for LIV… Golf is better today.

Yup. 100% correct. Team golf has it's place in College events and Ryder Cup style events. THAT'S IT! The rest of the time golf is an individual sport and most people want it that way. Team golf is more relatable to the average golfer. Pretty sure the PGA has an affiliation with Ryder Cup and Presidents Cup. Which are team events where they do best ball, alternate shot and match play. I personally would love to see them play a lot of different formats. I'd love to watch them play 2 man superball so we can see how low these guys could actually go. Maybe then all the guys turning in 52's and below in superball tournaments and have 10-15+ handicaps will be more honest.

What does that mean to most common way of playing golf? Scratch and Scramble is the most casual way of playing golf. That's what most folks who aren't in leagues are doing. It's a team effort. yes golf will and always be and individual sport. but doesn't mean team work can't happen.
