Ade, the BSA A10 rebuild brought me to your channel, but I do like all of your great content. I have a BSA A10 engine that I am rebuilding and it will go into a 1957 Fairthorpe Atomota. I am also "engineering" the mating of the BSA engine to a Standard Ten gearbox.
@AGEngineering2 жыл бұрын
So you've set me off researching the Fairthorpe Atomota, I'd never heard of one, most interesting, it would be great if you would post a video of some of your work? Thanks for watching and commenting and showing another use of BSA engines which would be lost in history, brilliant 👍🏼. Where about are you based?
@fairthorpefanatik17002 жыл бұрын
@@AGEngineering I am in Southern California. I will see what I can do about posting a video as I do have a GoPro. To my knowledge, my Atomota is the only one left in the world.

Great video Ade, I enjoyed watching. I'm glad the BSA project is moving forward, it will be interesting to see you tackle the 'elephant' that is the cracked spigot! Best wishes, Dean.

The spigot will be interesting to say the least, I've got my fingers crossed

@@AGEngineering I'm sure you will sort it Ade. The fins keep giving me funny looks every time I walk past them. They are trying to intimidate me.

That was really great Ade. I was in Dean's (Retromeccanica's) workshop at the weekend. We had a great time, and we discussed how best to repair his particular elephant. I am looking forward to you brazing up the spigot. Truly impressive and inspiring work, loved the repair of the cam folowers too, and subsequent testing.

Hi ade i just dropped on to you from Dean at retromeccanica, i have sub'd you etc, and will take a look at what you get up to. this video takes me back to a few of my bsa rebuilds super rocket, shooting star etc. I fell in to youtube by accident when i rewound my lucas magneto on my Myford lathe, the video quality of my early days is ropey as it was never intended to be seen, just did it to show a friend. i will work my way through your video's as time permits Ade. cheers Kev
