Brings back the memories! But man I would have been SO embarrassed to have a BSA 250 on my butt back in the day...much less to have EVER been passed by one! .... the AJ was twice the MX er ...just sayin

Doug Chaney 1 second ago I owned and even raced this same model. A very fun motorcycle but shameful problems the factory SHOULD have fixed! The WORST thing was the whole clutch was held on by one little circlip which invariably would let go ....now WHY they did not put a fricken BOLT or nut on the end of the shaft? Is beyond me! THAT alone ruined the experience, followed by the ignition system that notoriously would short out on account of complete failure to design in a good place for the ignition wire to sit in!....Me and my best buddy next door both got one at the same time and had all the same troubles except he was a bit crazier that me I guess and busted the frame below the engine ...he had it welded and even braced with angle iron but I think it kept cracking on him.....damn shame such an otherwise fun and proficient bike was so seriously flawed by stupid things! We both swapped the carb out with a 34mm (i think?) Mikuni taken from TM400 parts book ...which worked way better but never booted up nicely to the airbox. The other serious draw back was the 4 speed tranny ....BULLET PROOF and great shifting tranny! BUT I mean it needed one more gear SO BADLY! lol! How much effort would it really have taken the company to make the bike right?? .... Ya know? Kicked myself for not buying the CZ which was my second choice ...but then I would eventually have kicked myself for not buying the YZ! But I wanted something european ....read too many magazines

I’ve got a 370 Stormer in pieces stored in my garage. Someday I keep saying I’m going to restore her.
