THE FLOOD LYRICS: How to stand one´s ground When the flood drowns everything around Conceals and buries under How to rebuild and re-design How to forge as whole and re-divide Broken and torn asunder How to speak without a sound Without a voice utter the words profound Into the silence How to comprehend and to abide How to re-arrange and re-define The emptiness inside Cold winds of the north Black waters and the frozen shores Are waiting for the storm No trails leading forth No pathway to the woods Forsaken and forlorn

I am a Combat Veteran...I have watched my friends die...this song helps me relate to loneliness, confusion, inability to accept what is, concepts of reality, nightmares, difficulty to adapt to society, anger, depression, suicidal thoughts....etc......this song is my Mantra......WOLFHEART!!!
@Wolfheartofficial6 жыл бұрын
Hey Michael. I hope this Mantra steers you away from the things you relate the song. That was the reason for me to write the song. To conceal certain issues into the song and by that be able to step out from that "box" and see things from a different angle. Almost like observing your self from outsiders point of view for a second. So that loneliness would not create confusion, find a place where one feels home despite the norm os society (someday cabin deep in the woods in my case), channel the anger (guitar, drums, gym in my case) etc. I wish all the best for you M ! -Tuomas-

I thank you for your service. And I can relate to this song as well I am not a vet just a 26 year old man that has lost all his grandparents from age, his father and a great mate to suicide, a brother to SIDs, 3 cousins and an uncle. This song helps with the thoughts that you get some days when your guard is down and I wish you and your family the best.

Awesome. How the hell Finland, a country with less habitants than a big city, can have so many amazing bands? Is it something in the air or in the water?

I am from Finland and i'v been wondering the same. Maybe we will get that from mother's milk 😊
@DylanJacquard8 жыл бұрын
I've heard theories before that suggests that because of Finnish society being (at least compared to North American society) more quiet and shy. And heavy metal provides the perfect opportunity of expression and they are able to break free from that silence.
@cesteoule8 жыл бұрын
hahaha. Fuuny comment Lehikoinen. Although, what Jacquard says sounds interesting. Is it true that finnish people are quiet and shy Lehikoinen ?
@tlehi33038 жыл бұрын
Carlos: It depends, some people are shy here of course but some are very brisk/snell. I think many Finnish people are nervous when they have to speak example english. They are worried that they speak wrongly and thats why many foreing people thinks that Finns are shy. But this is just my opinion ☺

This song is a truly beautiful piece of art. This song was released about 2 weeks before my grandfather passed away. I didn't get to say goodbye to him. He was a sufferer of Parkinson's late in life. So, naturally, I feel regret and this song sums up the Flood of emotions I feel. Such a great metaphor for something real and something so full. Whether it's a real flood or one within you, you must persevere. I don't want to be that person, but, I feel like this song was made for me to be strong and persevere. Thank you Wolfheart for all you've given us.

I hope you all are able to come to California in America one day, I'd love to buy you all a beer. And, in the meantime, I wish you all to have peace and happiness on a road to great successes and fulfilled dreams. So, thank you again Tuomas, for your words, your music and all that you do. I just wanted to let you know that this song keeps me alive and am not even joking, this piece of art needs to be appreciated more, I hate that this song got under 800k views, its unfair, this song is beautiful, I listen to it everyday, when am happy, when I am sad, when I cant feel anything it makes me feel things, things I never thought I would feel, it just sends me to another world, where everything is absolutely beautiful, I just want you guys to keep making music, because you are gods, and not just the gods of death metal, you are the gods of music, I just c nt express how important this song and Zero Gravity are to me, you guys are magical, you truly are, and there are no enough vocabulary for me to describe how genius the vocals, the music, the guitar solo, and the drums. the sceneries and the atmosphere, its just so perfect, this is everything I have ever wanted, and I get bored of music very quickly, but god, this song, it has been in my playlist for more than six months, GOSH, I LOVE YOU GUYS, SO MUCH, AND YOU GIVE ME HOPE AND INSPIRATION, I just wish you all the best, because I owe you so big for this song, love from Jordan, the middle east, from a very grateful 20 years old girl.
