The greatest moment I ever got to be in person for as a fan. Loved Dale Jr since I was 7 years old in 2005. Man was it worth it. Loudest I’d ever heard a crowd, even louder than Gordon’s win at Martinsville in 2015 that I also was at.

My grandfather passed away a little over a month before this. We were both huge, huge fans and we would constantly wait for that weekend to come that we would see him win a race. It finally came and the only thing I remember doing after the finish was something like a mixture of screaming in joy and crying because it was almost a form of closure for me. I know he was watching this race and he was probably jumping around more than I was

I've been a LOYAL Junior fan since day 1, and when I heard he won todays race, I grinned from ear to ear... watching this video and the one starting with 11 laps to go made me smile 1000000 miles wide... Your fans are proud of ya, Dale, and your dad is too! He's smiling next to the Lord! GOOOO JUNIOR! #88 FOR LIFE!

My earliest NASCAR memory was Jr being wrecked by Busch at Richmond in 08. I became a Jr fan then, but all I knew up to this point was heartbreak. I can remember the entire last lap just jumping up and down in my living room, and losing my mind when he came across the line to win. 11 years later, it's still one of the happiest moments of my life

I'm really happy that Dale won and that his car passed post race inspection. He absolutly embarrassed the rest of the field. It was a perfect race for him except in the beginning when he dropped to 30th or something like that. Glad he won because I really wanted to see how crazy his fans would get, i think about 80 percent or more people in Nascar are Dale fans. I wonder if they are racing in Michigan again this year? I asked because i figured his fans burned the grand stands to the ground lol.

I have to admit hes done better this year but like you said this is his first time as a threat to the championship since 2004, that's 9 years ago, and from 2005 to 2012 he has been terrible, yet people keep saying "he`s one of the best" or " hes gonna win the championship this time" he has a good shot this year but I dont think he can get it done. And the reason I think people love him so much is because of his name.

This is going to be the highlight of this season for Jr. Sad news to hear today that he is not going to race the next 2 races due to the concussion he dffered an Talladega. Going to effectively drop him ouit of the Chase. HOWEVER, it is the right thing to do for his health and for his future. There are more important things in this life. To quote the movie CARS "It's just an empty cup." Especially if it means doing severe damage to yourself in the process. God bless you for next year!

I think he's an awesome person. He's funny and a classic Nascar driver. Also i really hate when people say 2005-2012 was horrible for him. He finished 5th in 2006, he made the chase in 2008, finished last in the chase i'll give that. He finished 7th in 2011 and he's got the best chance to win a championship this year since 2006. Although, every single driver in the chase has a big shot to win it as well. It'll be amazing if he could win the championship but i just wanna see him win more races.
