Why did you make Dazai like not even care, Dazai would care, especially in a better environment, since now that he's in the agency is feels bad about what he did to Akutagawa, he may not being in the ada school here but he's in a better environment. Along with that, even in the port mafia he still had respect and some care for him. He told Oda that he know Akutagawa was going to be strong. In the pm he would still be a but disappointed that he died. And in a better environment he obviously would be more distressed. Not rolling his eyes and not even caring about his death??

Are you guys forgetting that he's in the PM highschool here? Dazai in the real PM was much ruder and less caring, so it makes sense that in this AU being in the PM high he'd act the same. Assuming the PM high is the same as or similar to the PM's environment, it'd only be logical that Dazai acts this way. He's not in a better environment, even if he's in a different AU. And even if PM high isn't that bad, Dazai's never been one for sympathy or grief unless it's someone who means a lot to him-- Dazai's barely familiar with the students of ADA high, mind you-- which would be blatantly obvious if you actually paid attention to his mannerisms in the show. When Atsushi has a panic attack, Dazai slaps him. When the guards of Mersault are killed, he doesn't care. When the cat girl with the time stopping ability is killed by Fyodor, Dazai is only upset that he has one less pawn. He has never been the empathetic type. He has emotions, he can feel shock, but he feels little to no regard for life or the trauma of others. All you needed to come to this conclusion were some kindergarten-level deductive abilities. Have you not the barest sense of media literacy?

So no, its of course not like the pm, its literally just a basic Highschool, if it was like the original au, akutagawa would be abused, and as said in the thing its just about studying, it id a better environment. And im talking about Akutagawa which he's known for longer. You are correct Dazai doesn't have much empathy. Dazai was either born like this, or made like this from his trauma. We don't know that, but from what i could guess it would probably be trauma, as when he grew older he would have became insensitive to the factors of living. Which is why he found mori when he tried to kill himself. He would be in a better environment since its a Highschool, and without his trauma he wouldn't be so uncaring. But if we go on the theory he was born like this he still wouldn't be joking about a person he knows death. Dazai is a very complex character and we don't know much next to anything about him. Dazai knows when to keep his mouth shut and not joke around, which is shown multiple times through the show. And he does care for a few people even though it might not be shown, it's obvious he does, due to his stress in the recent chapters. He isn't doing this for himself, he's doing it for Oda and the people he cares about. If he lacked all empathy, he wouldn't be doing all this, he wouldn't be fulfilling Oda's wish. Dazai doesn't care much for Akutagawa, but it is show multiple times, his guilt for doing that to Akutagawa. So in a better au where Dazai isn't under so much stress, and not being put through life changing trauma throughout the show, yes. He wouldn't be like 'oh i don't care, this is so funny!' He's respectful, and wouldn't be doing this in such a serious time. Some of the things you said were true, ill give you that. But Dazai's whole personality through this was pretty out of character and heavily mischaracterized. But you can see dazai how you want to, all characters are up for their own interpretation, especially Dazai since he's a big mystery is BSD. This is just my own analysis, and thoughts on him.

i could add them reacting to the abilites in the next part. I'm really sorry about how I did dazais character and many were not sadisfied with my approach. I made dazai not really care because in my au he doesn't really care about the original au because it's not them. I wanted to make dazai more aware. but i understand what you mean and would add more care for dazais character

It was disappointing that akutagawas part was so much more all over the place then the others, overall just seems like u shunned him away and tried to get it done as quick as possible not spending a lot of time or consideration on his part.
