Hi bro I need your help to understand technically whether it is possible that a smartphone which comes with USB type 2.0 version can be upgraded to USB type 3.1 or 3.2 version. In my scenario I have recently purchased a IQ 12 5G smartphone which has USB 2.0 version but I want to know whether it can be upgraded to next gen by spending outside. If not please let me know why it is not possible. Because I see the other manufacturers models coming with USB 3.1 or 3.0 version at least. Though they have the same hardware including the processor Snapdragon gen 3.

Whole motherboard configuration, supplementary components and everything will change with 3.1 or 3.2 spec, it's upto manufacturing whether to give 2.0 or 3.1 You can't upgrade on your own. Processor supports, doesn't necessarily mean manufacturer have to implement, to reduce cost they provide 2.0 Live with it. Or buy higher end mobile 😂
