Remove the head, take out the spring that is used to activate the "Turbo" function on the rear tailcap switch.. next, remove the "18650 adapter sleeve".. while apart use isop. alcohol and multiple q-tips to thoroughly clean the threads of all left over metal shavings, and grease left from manufacturers assembly. Lastly clean the contact points then reassemble the head. I did use a small amount of SIG gun lubricant/grease on the threads and o-ring. Once assembled you may now use 20700 Batteries preferably of the Sanyo type cells. These will nearly double the runtime of this light. To access "turbo" mode you double click the front button as like on any other "ThruNite" branded device. Now for the downside... You loose momentary "On" functioning of the rear tailswitch. All in all, I would be doing this if I were camping or somewhere that I knew I needed to choose runtime over "tactical advantage" of rear tail-switch functionality. I stumbled upon finding this out by mistake while cleaning the contacts and being curious if my 20700 "vape" cells would fit.

I bought a black one and coyote in May 11th. I loved it and carry it in my wheelchair pocket. Mid October it stopped working. Amazon said too bad. 90 day coverage. It might be a bad ass designed by Black Scout Survival but it's a crappy Olight with a 90 day warranty.

On its brightest setting with that bezel put it above you can see the entire room to an extent butter for overnight workers. Put it under you not direct flight but where you need more lumens more direct and more overcast that to me is the ideal home straight down flashlight.

You bring up a good point I have never hit anyone with my flashlight however now this was a Bushnell in this case I have had a situation where someone swung a pry bar at me that Bushnell still worked even though it looked as if Chuck Norris didn't strike the front window bike when he was kicking someone through the front windshield the light still worked design lucky positioning.

Thrunite is my favorite brand. And TC15 my favorite Thrunite. BSS V4 is pretty much a TC15 with additional tail switch. I don't care very much about the usb port because I mostly charge my batteries in a charger, and I also have micro usb cables. But yes; Usb-C would be better and this light should have it. I still consider to get it.

If the only flashlight that you have that has power is a supposed tactical bevel of tactical nurse allows you hand free operation in a room woohoo hands-free operations I have 3A and 18650 headlamps. How are the tail switches with Thrunite. My first investment in a quality light with a brand that rhymes with “Phoenix” 😂 and I had switch issues from the start with that inside ring not staying tight and causing connection issues. There were enough that a “fix” existed but it wasn’t dependable. Absolute trash.
