I’m about ready to buy, but it does have a customized 21700 battery that thrunite does not offer a replacement for. The battery has the positive and negative contacts at the top of the battery allowing the usb charging. I can use a regular 21700 battery but you would have to take it out and put it in a charger, every time to charge it. It seems that Olight has a battery just like the original Thrunite that will work perfectly. So is my only option to buy a battery from the competitor?

Yes the olight battery works great and can be charged in the light u can also use fenix battery for it but u would have to have a battery charger doc ill go with olight battery for shore

I don't care for right angle lights personally. But generally speaking you'll find a lot of them marketed as Headlamps. You just take them out of the head mount.

@Eye of the Tiger -- I'm sorry , it's not the T20 , it's the T1 and it comes with a rechargeable 18350 1100 mah battery , it's a short , fat battery....

Hey man. I had this same problem with mine. I just un screwed the cap and then screwed it back on. Tightened as much as possible without damaging of course and it solved my problem. Might just need a little tightening and then charge it all the way.

I have that exact light and I love it only two minor problems with it the color is starting to come off and it's hard to fully seat the charging cover not super hard but still harder than it should be but all the oreforance is great no problems there at a ll.

I have a similar flashlight from OLight. Mine is black but I like it better as it has a magnetic charge system.

Better is subjective. I hate the magnetic chargers. If you don't have it you're screwed.

I hate the front button on. It means you have to rotate the torch in your hand every time. I would like a hold the rear button down to get full and tap on and off.

Fenix TK11TAC PD36TAC All operated with rear switch. Momentary or constant with a duty or tactical mode. Tactical takes you straight to the high setting. Duty mode cycles all the levels and includes turbo in that setting on the 36TAC.

Aye! I love my little T1. I actually keep it on the shoulder of my Ribz as edc. I used to carry the TN12 I think it's called. I still keep it around and charged. I'm starting to think flashlights, like all tech, should be leased lol! There's always something new. I've always wondered, at what point do the lumens become enough? I'm pretty content with the 1100 on the T1 for the most part. Anything bigger now and I want maximum distance. Maybe the TN42 or something. I don't really see a point in something in between anymore. Maybe that's just me.

How do you avoid accidentally switching it on if it's in your back pant pocket for EDC? I'm most concerned about turbo mode and lighting my pants on fire with me in them. I want the memory to be on turbo for self-defence. Any thoughts would be much appreciated! Also, is it just not a good idea to have one in you back pant pocket for EDC?

Most of these have a manual lockout. And they don't get that hot. If you catch on fire before you realize it's on, you've hot bigger problems. You won't be disappointed with this light though.

Thanks for review. I really like that color! But the surface is shiny so I suspect it's a bit slippery like the black TC15? Also I don't like the proprietary battery in TT20. You cannot use the light with normal 21700s. Neither charge the proprietary battery in a charger(at least not without some modification).

Sometimes you can hack that with a thin/small neodynamium magnet on the positive end. Depends on the battery and charger though. I just tried it with this one and my charging bay and it didn't work. It seems to charge at a good place and uses the same plug as my phone so it doesn't bother me at all.

Sorry for your loss of TC15. TC15 is my favorite EDC light. And I have T2 as well. If you like me prefer fixed modes instead of the stepless ramping and don't need tailswitch, T2 may be a better choice. Yes, T2 is a flood beast compared to TC15 so TT20 I think has a beam profile more like TC15. But TT20 has stepless brightness ramping instead of fixed modes, and a tail switch. So that may be attractive. Or not... Personally I prefer fixed modes. Especially when lights like TC15 and T2 in my opinion have perfect mode spacing. By the way: TC15 is still available.
