It was a pretty good idea, but I think they did it better in Raging Blast 1, there you can set Goku's attacks during all the series to your liking, and also changing the costume to be like each saga or battle.

For everyone complaining that what he says doesn't matter at all: For gameplay purposes, you're correct. He's instead rating the character as a representation of the source material. Although he could have focused on the non-B2/UB as well. SSJ2 Goku's rush attacks are gorgeous, and the way Kaioken works deserves attention. Well it's a 2010 video so that's that

ironically the Mid Goku spirit bomb is the most powerful, spam Give Me Energy and you can actually get to 99,999 damage with it, that doesnt instant kill unlike what you may think from the story mode, the counter will just only count up to one short of a hundred thousand. although, with a character low enough on health bars, his spirit bomb _could_ instant kill since a bar of health is 10,000, so you'd effectively have to be one of the fusion characters after FUSING two characters with a shitload of health bars to begin with in order to survive it

End Goku's Super Saiyan 2 form may have the worst moveset, but in terms of physical combat, I'd say SS2 End Goku is the best fighter. All the other forms seem so brutish for me, whereas Super Saiyan 2 feels more energetic. The same could be said for SS2 Teen Gohan.

SSjin 2 Kid Gohan is fucking OP in terms of hand to hand combat in this game. I think my best hand to hand fighters in this game were Kid Boo, SSjin 2 Kid Gohan , Majin Vegeta, Super Gogeta and SSjin 2 Goku

Mid Goku has the best ssj form in my opinion, and is my favorite character in the game his combos are great all his moves aren't stock and unique, and the spirit bomb hak is awesome. The only thing I wish they had were kaioken for base and change the Angry Kamehameha into yellow but those are nitpicks. Definitely a good character

You know, people have problems with things such as, "SSJ2 not having a very creative moveset" or "X20 Kaioken Kamehameha being spelled wrong" or "Goku not saying 'You fool!' when using the Angry Kamehameha" and I agree with all of that. Potentially, Goku might have the most OP ultimate move in this entire game...Instant Transmission Kamehameha, but they included all of Goku's Cell Games shit under Boo Arc/a.k.a 'End' Goku. That was THE MOST skillful and coolest Goku to be fighting in the entire manga. Look at this, Instant Transmission Full Power Kamehameha, his insane rush combos vs Cell, his RapidFire Barrage vs Cell (Nope, not the super energy wave volley), hell I wouldn't have minded if BOTH of his blast 2s were his rushes from Cell, because you had AT LEAST 3-4 different ones in that entire, classic fight.

I like the idea to have all Goku's forms split into separate characters... It gives us a very complete way to show the best of all his skills from the show. In newer games, we have to be thankfull with just a single Goku doing NOT everything... SAD.

+Tou Xiong he fought as ssj2 against kid buu for a short while. he used this one rush that was so bad ass it's not even funny. a couple kicks to the face, knock him around a little bit, then when buu gets up, he finds a yellow ball of energy at his ribs. it's great as an ultimate.

@Fieryultras It's just a jumping charged ki blast. Everyone has slight differences when they charge their ki blast when jumping/ascending, but Goku(and Krillin's/18's, IIRC) become Kienzans.

The problem with saying Early Goku should have Meteor Combination is this: If they switched the 2 rushes between early and mid, sure you'd get the right rush for early but then you'd have the problem of mid having a rush from early. Raging Blast 1 or 2 could easily fix this but here, there really isn't a way to fix it as characters only have 2 supers that are attacks. Also, if anyone says they should have 2 rushes to early and 2 beams to mid, well that'd be just pathetic.

The rush for Buu Saga Goku(both in bade and in SS2) are lifted straight from Budokai Tenkaichi 2. It’s fine for SS2 but it looks odd in base form

They need to add False Super Saiya-jin Goku, the transformation he made against Lord Slug in the movie. He had very little screen time, but enough to a solid moveset. Blasts 2: Kamehameha (Every Goku form need to have it) Full Power Energy Barrage Wave (It's a stock attack, yeah, but he used it in the fight so it would make sense) Ultimate: A rush attack where the enemy is on the middle of the screen, and Goku goes flying around beating them, ending with a double axe handle to the ground.

Fun fact: super saiyan end goku in the saiyan armor has the same hair as supersaiyan mid goku. My theory is that since the hyperbolic time chamber took place before the cell games and gokus super saiyan hair was still unruly and not so gold.

The reason for the kamehameha problem is because you can charge it as long as you want until it's fully charged and if you don't charge it all the way it would be kaaameHAAAAAAAAAAAAA

All gokus are in my top 10 favourites, balanced and every Goku have something different, (early) tayoken and kaioken which is stackable (mid) op spirit bomb and a instant kamehameha (End) instant teleport, and a lot of sayans forms, also a real big spirit bomb

I thought we were talking about the Moveset, not ethics about the moves and universal problems. I know this was made 12 years ago, but i hope you can remake this and explain how the moves works, not the designs or missing voice acting in these (its a very clear universal problem because its not a fucking ps5 game, its a ps2 game with more limitation than the actual generation), they were already a problem in the game but still with that, the gameplay made this game age well.
