That's actually NOT good news, it shouldn't blow your mind EVERY TIME, you should learn something along the way, so that some of what he says is acquired knowledge, and hopefully you take it from there and add some of YOUR own research to what you learn from him. If the same or similar trick blows your mind from a magician then, that is saying a lot of things, about a lot of things. Jeff's no magician, but SOME things he does repeat in every interview. Superb podcast by the hosts. With the markets having less order executions; situations like this are best hedged with sustainable positions especially bitcoin inverse contracts, as price strongly deviated against its long term mean average. The further it deviates the more momentum for a reversal to the upside. whales are currently in a liquidity grab at the lows. I've had series of trading losses I'd best not mention before being introduced to Mr. Callum Lucas. His careful guide and employing his Signal for my trades orders has been a great experience. Callum's signal algorithm are based on combinations of unique strategies.

For Jeffs point, there is the other type of unproductive deflation that central planners are scared of and that’s namely aging population and slowing economy, as both exhibit deflationary forces

I agree that corporate debt as a source of funding will largely be replaced by equity, but surely the housing market will still run on debt? Who would awnt equity in your house? More importantly, you wouldn't want anyone else to co-own your house. And saving up to buy a house would take too long. Or do you think housing would be so cheap that it is purchased with three salary cheques? I don't think so bc serviced land is scars and a house would still capture an enormous amount of "time" value in materials and craftmanship.

The one thing I don’t get with deflation and the unraveling of counter party credit risk, is if other things besides the loan are becoming cheaper then you would have more money at your disposal and paying off the debt would be easier, unless your fixed income is no longer a fixed anymore?

17:00 That dystopian world he imagines is more or less what worries me about El Salvador, for the bitcoin experiment to work he needs MORE time to let it work and develop and sort of become the norm and move forward automatically, so what I see is the president consolidating power and becoming more and more dictatorial and eliminating competition or people disagreeing with him, a second term or whatever is in his mind. And once he has no position, what's next?? will he let it go, the power?? I believe RIGHT NOW he means well, but power is power, and will fuck with his motivations and mind and who knows what will come of it, he also knows if he leaves the next guy might change things up against bitcoin, and the other guy might aggressively be backed by the banks etc and the old guard that is losing power through bitcoin.

Home equity only benefits a person in a debt jubilee if the debt held by the bank is released to them. Otherwise you have no gain on net because you have to live somewhere. You can't take that equity and live on a surfboard. But if we get to debt jubilee time government has collapsed, banks have collapsed, and no debts can be collected.

Is it entirely possible that the power brokers in the current financial system understand what they have been doing for the past century. They know its a no win scenario and have been waiting for a bridge that can move the current system to the next evolution of money. Obviously they could not admit this or it would create caos so the printing etc will just continue until the.new system has advanced enough to facilitate the transition. Just a thought!

Thank you for the informative interview. I agree with your views, but Preston keeps saying technology will reduce jobs. Not true. Technology disrupts employment, but will not reduce it. Technology improves productivity, reduce real costs and pricing allowing for a surplus to increase demand in other sectors.

Don't want to spread FUD but BTC is many very good things except a hedge against a new emergent hereditary aristocracy. BTC will likely never go under 100 bucks. So the people who bought and mined early or their descendants are the new aristocracy, the miners the new potential "banksters" of the BTC world.
