Some business type needs to help Jay Rod out, he has more than enough internet presence to leverage into a lot of money. Dude is a major part of the B Team cast and is performing well at the top level early in his professional career. I hope he can buy that car he wants soon.

I agree, think he could definitely use a manager. Pretty sure they both manage themselves.
@HoboGardenerBen7 ай бұрын
@@thepercyvlogs Yeah, seems like he could be leveraging some serious cash from his level of exposure of he did it right. Something like his brothers jerky business. He has some stuff like that, just feels like there is more potential there.

Ive hit a few in competition when i was a early white belt. Videos on my channel. Its my fav sub. It works as a really good guard once you get it down. It got to the point no one wanted to get side control on me in the gym. So my coach told everyone to go knee on belly instead and showed everyone how to shut it down so id develope other techniques. I got a little too dependent on it. It sucked at first but it made me a better. One of the best lessons my coach ever taught me lol😂

Just find chokes for small guys then. Where there's a will there's a way. Short guys I find are always very scrappy and quick and can reach places that I can't. I'm very skinny so trust I feel ur pain but don't call urself a "manlet". These are internet terms made to degrade u. Don't let women talk shit either they're fucken braindead

How did that guy injure himself? From the opponent posturing up while feet are locked in figure 4? Or from his own arm strength ripping the knee open ? 😮

New to jujitsu. I’ve tried a buggy choke twice now which i felt like they were pretty tight and my opponents were in their way to tapping but they still managed to get out. Glad I saw this gonna try it soon again lol.

You’re the author of your life. Learn from mistakes, they are a blessing. Nothing changes if nothing changes. Successful people welcome failure, this paves the road to success. As said many times, repeating the same thing, expecting a different result is insanity.

Good video. One more question. I am average height but I have shorter legs and have had difficulty cinching my leg for the buggy choke. Do I just have poor technique or should I just not consider the buggy choke as part of my arsenal because of my shorter legs?
@davidpignatore65327 ай бұрын
A little bit of both probably. I'm short and big, started bjj in 06 I think. Couldn't do triangles but over time, you find better angles and your way of doing things. I just overhook my leg for the buggy. I find it's tighter and alot less on the knee. Same concept. Close one side and bend your body into it. Similar to arm in guillotine.
@jt-ff3yx7 ай бұрын
@@davidpignatore6532 alright, I will keep at it and give your idea a shot. Thank you!
@davidpignatore65327 ай бұрын
@@jt-ff3yx np. Its ok if you can't do certain things. Better to just be aware of possibilities and perfect what does work for you. I loved Roger Gracie and Jacare style but I couldn't do what they did. I'm 5'4 and walk around 200lbs lean. Luckily, I stumbled upon Marcelo Garcia and studied his game like crazy, and it worked perfect for my body type. Btw, you can overhook your leg and do the same choke from closed guard. Good luck 👍
