sir see hybdrisation, do i have to learn that lakanes are 109.4 angle and alkanes are 120. I dont get the bond angles ans the drawing of it
@BrysonChemistry2 жыл бұрын
Alkanes are tetrahedral and 109.5 degrees bond angle. Alkenes are trigonal planer and 120 degrees bond angle...I'm hopefully getting a video out on that this weekend so will comment on here with a link when done.

for your drawing on two sp3 orbitals overlapping, why are there two nuclei if there is only one carbon? i think i might be misunderstanding. When they're overlapping, is that between two carbons?
@BrysonChemistry Жыл бұрын
Yes it is. It’s an orbital from each C overlapping so there’s two carbons

Hi sir you know for the hess cycle is it products minus reactants for enthalpy of formation with enthalpy of reaction data
@BrysonChemistry3 жыл бұрын
It depends on the values you are using and NOT what you are trying to calculate. If you are USING formation values to find the unknown enthalpy change, then it’s sum of products minus sum of reactants

Thankyou ever so much Sir, my Chemistry Exam is on the 24th of January and needed help on Hybridisation. When is the next video coming aswell?
@BrysonChemistry3 жыл бұрын
I’ll try to get one or two out through this week and a couple more at the weekend. Do you have any requests?

sir i dont get hybridisation like the whole thing and do you know where i can get exam questions for all the topic on chemistry, biology and physics for unit 5?
@BrysonChemistry2 жыл бұрын
Hybridisation is definitely the hardest part of this topic! If you have any specific parts of it I can try and help…my plan is to do some past paper videos where you can pause the video and have a go yourself and then I’ll do each question
@yonisderia80542 жыл бұрын
@@BrysonChemistry it’s where you started doing hybridisation didn’t understand the first example, also do you know where i can get the exam question i have mocks in two weeks. The exam question idea would be very beneficial!
@BrysonChemistry2 жыл бұрын
@@yonisderia8054 you can get past papers from Pearson website. Hybridisation is all about the orbitals changing so they can form bonds

Can you do free radicalisation

Free radical substitution of alkanes?

Ahh yes I get hybridization I thought it wasmt p orbitals I thought the number of sp2 represented the actual electrons only not the orbitals
