can I replace the "x= " by somthing else? It doesn't work, it say that X is not declared maybe because I have an old version of VB so is there any alternative of "x=" ??

I replaced my 'x' and put 'rate' instead but in the code, wherever there was an 'x' u have to make sure you replace with what you declared at the top. In my case, I had to put 'rate' where there was originally 'x'. Also Idk if this is a big issue as I'm still a noob at VB but putting a comma (e.g Dim x, As Double) causes your variable to NOT be declared Correction:( Dim x As Double) so those little errors may be causing your variable to not be declared.. Hope this helps

Oh and I use Microsoft visual basic 2008 express edition when I'm just coding for practise, so I don't think it has anything to do with the version you're using
