Ever since Hisense bought out Sharp, I have been blown away by Hisense products. In my house I have five Hisense TVs. Two of them high end ULED units. The contrast ratio, no burning risk on any of the screens, the color accuracy, the brightness, the true blocks and solid grays, Etc. Nearly unparalleled. Hisense is the BenQ of TVs.

I have the Samsung LSP7T Ultra short throw projector with a 120 inch screen in my lounge room and I absolutely love it. I upgraded from an LG 75 inch LED / LCD TV and have no regrets at all. Watching on a big screen definitely makes watching movies more enjoyable.

The projector reminds me when I was a kid back in the 50's they made a TV that lay flat in a cabinet and when you lifted the lid there was a mirror underneath the lid that reflected the TV's image. As you might imagine, it wasn't a big seller.

I have Epson EH-LS500B and the maximum brigthness is 4000 lumens. I normally use just 65% which is bright enought and is quiet too. Increasing the lumens increase the fan noise. I used before 100% brightess, it was so bright that you don't need to turn ON the lights. Still good for games, I think at the moment is unfair comparing with the latest tech from OLED and QD-OLED. They had to increase their brightness too in order the picture to be more desirable.

I built myself a home cinema with a 100" High Contrast Screen and an Epson eh-tw 9400 projector. Recently I got myself a LG 65" OLED (C-Series) TV for my living room. To answer the question whether to go with a TV or projector: it's so hard actually, since I'm a huge 3d enthusiast. 3d with projector is just awesome. If you don't care for 3d - definitely go for a big OLED TV. The black levels are just not comparable. The contrast isn't either. Even if you don't have the screen size. The picture quality will suck you into movies a lot more than any size. Greetings from Germany.

You should turn the laser luminance thing to auto. And to get the auto calibration thing to work you need to align the projector more. When you manually adjust, you’re cropping the image. So you want to avoid that if you can.

I built my own TV stand to solve the issue of my center channel being too low or my TV being too high, and it would probably work with a UST. I made an opening in the table top for the center channel to come through, and that speaker sits on adjustable shelf so I can set it at the exact height I need.

Like all projector TV. It's just not sharp enough like any LED TV for me. It's perfect to get that movie experience in a very dark room with some popcorn.🍿🥤 Not every home is put together with no lights around. Too much lights will breach the colors right off the Projector. If you have a built-in movie theater in your home. This is for you. But for me, LED TV is the best buy for me.🎯 Thanks, B the installer for the video.

My only issue with a projector is once that lens or bulb goes out it’s a pain in the ass to replace and they’re not cheap. I’m good with an LG tv any day. Based off how you’re reacting to it, automatically I can tell it’s not really great. Plus I’m very observant to the details of the picture quality.

I have a BenQ short throw 1080p projector with a 90 inch screen. The image isn’t as good as my Samsung 4K 42 inch tv and obviously I wouldn’t expect it to be. BUT where it comes into its own is the fact that the projector is 3D. I have a 3D Blu-ray player and along with my 7.1 av amp and speaker set up the experience is totally immersive. PS you need projector capable active 3D glasses.

I have the Epson 4010 and a 106" screen in my living room. I have black-out blinds, but some ambient light from other rooms. For the most part, I'm always thrilled with the picture. I'd like to try an ultra-short throw projector, but the distance from the screen requirement and the blocking of the center channel is a problem. I love that with an ultra-short throw, people don't walk in front of the light beam. Since I already have a projector mounted and wires running to it, I guess if I want an upgrade, I'm still better off with another front projector. If a 110" tv ever hits the $5-7k range, I'll buy that, but until then, I favor a front projector

I worked in tech for over a decade, telco to be specific, so I can chime in with confidence based on relevance, as I did deal with many of the vendors who played in many augments of the consumer electronics space ie Samsung, Apple, Google. Firstly, all vendors have a pool of product, usually referred to as seeds on the unit level, that are generally final production, some pre/production so that they can be sent (or “seeded”) to appropriate partners who require devices earlier on in the launch process - if it’s a status quo 6-8 month go to market window, individuals in the QA, UX & systems arm of vendor partners, for example, would need product sooner so they can begin to log their usage, flag issues as product software is updated OTA to work out the kinks etc. OK, let’s jump out of the weeds I reluctantly tripped and fell into-creature of habit. Anyways, long story less long, but definitely not short, seeding influencers is a win-win for manufacturers. It’s free press you could say; and free press is good press, remember-jokes aside, consumers are more likely to take the word of what appears to be unbiased third party reviewers, or their favourite influencers, for example, over an OEM overly produced, fancy sizzle reel telling you why their new product is the best thing since sliced bread. Because that’s what they have to say…whereas influencers, unless some form of shady kickback is agreed upon to paint their product in a more favourable light, tell the truth more often than not. It’s like illegal gambling. Is it worth profiting on one underhanded bet if it’s means compromising your credibility and essentially blscklisting you across all players in your creator space - trust me, tech industries are very incestuous, like others, and word travels am fast. Now, pre production or cheaper products can stay with influencers usually, but often they are clawed back to be repurposed in some way to the vendor. All depends on their budget and protocol of the product managers who own specific launches. I’d imagine big ticket items, like these massive televisions are taken back, or there may be an opportunity to keep for a discounted, employee or partner rate. Hope all that helps! 🍻 #DrusViewz

@@apexgamer3173 The UHZ50, is a super bright front projector. I'd rather have a 20" or larger increase in screen size, than a glossy 86" tv. I love front projectors if you can deal with the HDMI and power cord that needs to run to the projector. I love the mat look of projector picture, which is more like a movie theater. With front projectors, you get a full 178 degree viewing angle and no reflections. input lag might be an issue, but my son plays xbox and PlayStation 5 and would still rather have the larger front projector screen, than play on his OLED screen.

Always appreciate your excellent A/V reviews on KZbin, Brandon. If I were investing $4,000 in a display, however, I know I would definitely NOT be spending my money on this Hisense short throw projector (or any other projector, for that matter). I'm much more interested in buying a bright and accurate 85" OLED or LCD TV in the $3,000 to $4,000 price range. An 85" TV would be PLENTY big enough for me and would provide me superior image quality.

I’m waiting for a review of the new USTs like ForMovie Theater and AWOL’s really bright 3500. This category of projector has blown up and we are seeing just the beginning of what USTs will bring. I prefer not to lift a 300lb screen to mount on the wall and then have to freak panic about when I have to move to a new house. The glare is still really distracting, especially when watching HDR content that tends to get dark, and I would prefer to see a little bit of “image fade” over watching a reflection of my kitchen or backyard during a super dark scene in a movie/show. Game of Thrones’ dark episodes come to mind here. Hopefully he will be able to get his hands on an AWOL or ForMovie Theater soon for another comparison.

I've heard it's been said, "It's not the size of the ship, it's the motion in the ocean." But for me, if you have to say that then your ship is too small. Tv people always have to compensate. They talk about black levels, brightness blah blah blah. The reason is they're ship is too small. Projectors are the way to go . When you're looking at 120 to 150 inches even on a 1080p projector, a tv simply cannot compete. With all the talk about how great Oleds are, you can't help but notice that tv's are getting bigger. They're clearly suffering from projector envy.

You do understand that gray light rejecting screen will dumb down some of the brightness, but may help with the blacks.

Amazing product I'm surprised it has hdmi 2.1 but capped at 60hz 🤔. Is this true? I only seen 60 on their site
@andrevideosgera
@andrevideosgera 2 жыл бұрын
I don't think it can run 4k@120hz. It runs at 4k@60hz or 1080p@120hz. That's because of DMD chip limitation, hence, the reason for using HDMI 2.1 is not for video bandwidth capabilities but other functions like ALLM and eARC.

Personally prefer the resolution quality of a television over a projector. However, possess a large desire to build a dedicated theater room with a projector. An approximately 100” television will come first.

on a purely eWaste environmental level short throw LASER projectors appeal( longevity also). ALSO for screen size it will still take a while for Big Tvs to scale up to what projectors can do and be ordinarily affordable. Sidelight ON screen and Roof light FROM the projector is also something to watch out for. I wish they could make a non-speaker dumb projector at an even cheaper price. I would love to know power consumption details

I agree on the dumb projector option. I find it easier to navigate through streaming services (Netflix etc) on the Apple TV than via the TV and a settop box recorder for free-to-air. I can't recall the last time I used the TV on its own to watch free to air television.

You guys are fantastic at putting electronics together. However, I prefer a 4K Smart television over a projector screen television because the picture quality is better. I recently purchased the Samsung 2022 OLED 4K Smart Television. The picture quality is fantastic watching sports, movies, and television series. I upgraded my Verizon Fios cable boxes to the 4K TV One boxes and the Fios WiFi 6 Router. You can tell on Daddy Grace nothing.😀 😃 😄 😁 😆 😅 😂 🤣 Last night I watch Dracula A.D. 1972 in HD after purchasing it off Amazon Prime. The picture quality on this old movie is great on the Samsung OLED. Hisense and TCL televisions are low end televisions for people on a budget in my opinion. I am a Samsung 4K Smart Televisions consumer.

@@TBoogy3 You are right that Samsung prices are high but the picture quality is excellent on the new 2022 Samsung OLED. I am currently watching 'Animal Kingdom' on TNT and the picture quality of unbelievable. Sorry TCL and Hisense cannot touch the picture quality on OLED & QLED on Samsung televisions.

Hello, can you tell me please, what is the distance between your walls, I am curious if it's enough distance to watch correctly and clear the Laser TV ? Or what is the optimal distance to watch MLS , NBA or Netflix, on this huge and amazing Laser TV 120 inch? Thanks a lot for your time, from, Romania, Europe 🇪🇺 😀 😉🙂. You do a great job 👍 🙌👏.
